12/16/06 10-day holiday cruise Part 3

Where is home? We were in CA for Thanksgiving and the house where we were staying had a hottub. The kids all used it but the adults (like me) were to wimpy to go outside into the cold to get into the warm water. The bad part would have been getting OUT of the hot tub. But the kids loved it.

home for me is PA...right now I'm in NC at college

When is your marathon? That is so amazing! Are you bringing your wii on the cruise? We did not get one yet but if we have one by then I am thinking we will probably bring it.

um, it's january 7th... i'll be back down at disney for it about a week after we get back from the cruise

i hadn't even thought about bringing my wii along. i'm not sure if i will or not. there's plenty of stuff to do without bringing it. but it is small enough that i could bring it just in case... hmmm. you raise an interesting possibility

haha i bet... one of my friends in high school had one... we would always play in it in the snow. we'd jump in the hot tub, run around in the snow and then jump back in the hot tub. i want one so bad. i would use it everyday

No not cold when you get out - your warm all through and you stay warm for quite a while after. it's great. We use it several times a week. Since we have another "snow" day tomorrow, kids and I will probably play in it a while.


and yes, it is outside - big 8'x8' tub.

hmmm yeah, you're right... maybe i'll just stay here, november has been nice to us... it's been 60 all week! we haven't really had many cold days yet... hooray indian summer! i guess i can't really call it that anymore, can i?

I remember hearing that term a lot when I was a growing up (in NJ) but I haven't heard it since living in the South. I'm not sure why...

Now I'm, sorry that I passed up the chance to get in the hot tub last week in CA. That happens to me a lot, I pass up a chance to do something sort of different and then I regret it.

I remember hearing that term a lot when I was a growing up (in NJ) but I haven't heard it since living in the South. I'm not sure why...

haha... i'm not sure if the fact that it's november means that it's too late to be using that term and that i should just be saying that we're having unusually warm weather still? hmmm don't know... haha maybe in the south they don't need to use the term because it's warmer for longer? i don't really know. so maybe pretend i didn't make that last comment

alrighty well i'm going to get to bed. i have to get myself up early to get my car in for an oil change. and i have to drive like 45 minutes to get to my dealer. right now i'm not sure why i told them i'd be there at 9. i could have picked anytime and i picked 9. next time i'll pick later. i was just trying to be a good worker and make sure it didn't interupt my day too much. oh well... good night everyone!

I need to get off to bed but I am just going to get this last thing in:

We went on the 10 day cruise in 2004 and there were a few nights when it was a welcome break to watch movies in the room and order room service... our kids especially loved doing that. So, we would use the wii in that situation (but I think the gamecube will be too bulky - although it will likely be in the van on the way down so maybe we will make a last minute decision to take it.)

DARNIT!!! The Good shepard (with Matt damon) comes out Dec 22nd and i was hoping they'd show it on the cruise. I mean yeah its rated R...but so is Apocalypto and the Prestige

Angela...bummer about your husband....having a cast for the cruise stinks...
how is he feeling?

I have been folding clothes and doing laundry all stinkin day...I have let it get away from me the last 2 weeks cause of my problem...no energy...may have to go in for a D & C end of week or beggining of next. If that happens I wont get anything done.

But besides that I am good!!! Kids are good DH is good Life is good and my fish that was bottoms up on the bottom of the tank dying 2 days ago..rushed and got antibiotics for him...he is good

Well hopefully it won't be cast for the cruise. He goes back into the doctor on Friday. Glad to hear things are good!
