12/16/06 10-day holiday cruise Part 3

Hi Folks,

Getting close to the big day. I haven't read the posts in a while, can someone tell me when and where the Meet and Greet is? Are there any other functions planned? We are looking forward to meeting everyone; My granddaughter is getting pretty anxious. We have a foot of snow at our house in Washington, I'm tired of it already > Thanks, Dick and Julie

You must be north of us! We have a few inches maybe 5 or so. I am tired of it too!! Bring on 55 degrees and rain. LOL

after the last 10 day cruise...so December 31st, 2004 - January 1st, 2005

DH just called from work slipped on the ice and fell and fractured his hand. I have had a headache all day. It happened at 7:30 this morning and he called at 3:15. I guess he didn't get out of the doctor's office until 2:10.

We have a house sitter too! But if anything really goes wrong she won't be able to do much other than contact my mom or brother. Oh I need a nap. I am STRESSED OUT!

Good thing I got you guys! and coming right?!?

Thanks - I am sure he will be fine. I should have just asked him to stay home this morning. My friend just called and asked if her boys could come over to play which is fine I just still have a headache. But could I say No. Of course not, Ryan has been wanting to play all day with them. So I said sure. At least he is occupied for awhile now. - Interrupted and now headache is starting to get better so life is good again.

Hi Angela, yes we are in Mount Vernon and up toward the foothills east of town. The older I get the more I don't like the white stuff Hope your husbands hand isn't serious. We have joined the yahoo X-mas cruise group you started (dbentley51) and I entered a few calender events for us. We are keeping the port days excursions to a minimum because of our littlest granddaughter coming with us on the trip. It's fun to see what some of the other folks are doing though. Looking forward to meeting everyone at the meet and greet on Saturday (3:15pm?). Let us know if this changes. Thanks, Dick and Julie

We missed that year....I'm guessing any of the parks would be fun that night...I think a lot of locals come out, but they also end up closing many of them, so I dunno.......

A bunch of us are from Washington. My school district is out again Wednesday - only bad part about that is we have to make them up in June. I teach in Lake Washington district.

It's almost cruise time...it's almost cruise time...it's almost cruise time.... This is my mantra!

all the parks were at Max capacity and closed by 12 pm

I can't remember 2 days off in a row since I started working at Lake Washington School District 11 years ago. Happened all the time when we lived in Philly.

Now I really feel bad about taking a sick day Monday - I haven't been to work in a week!!!!

hey everyone! i hope everyone had a great thanksgiving weekend. i wasn't really around my computer much what with everyone home and running around doing this and that. that and my marathon training is starting to get crazy. and i got a wii so i don't have too much free time! only 18 days guys!

Off to the hot tub...

THAT sounds great! I am now reading trip reports and getting very excited! My last cruise I decided I was too wound up and this one I should try to go with the flow a little better. That does not come naturally to me. I am hoping that doing the paperwork and reservations online will make the boarding process more relaxing. I raced around getting spa and palo reservations last time... Now I don't think we will bother with the spa (but I haven't totally decided) - and I think we have Palo reservations but I got confused at the reservation page... long story. I'm not sure if it worked or not.

I would love a hot tub about now (and we had a sunny day in the 70's today so technically I guess I dont't deserve it).

When is your marathon? That is so amazing! Are you bringing your wii on the cruise? We did not get one yet but if we have one by then I am thinking we will probably bring it.

Where is home? We were in CA for Thanksgiving and the house where we were staying had a hottub. The kids all used it but the adults (like me) were to wimpy to go outside into the cold to get into the warm water. The bad part would have been getting OUT of the hot tub. But the kids loved it.

North Bend, WA right in the middle of 21 degree temps and 4-6 inches of snow and ice!!!
