funny, our weather should be great for them - rain,rain, rain. But I've never seen anyone in them. Did try them on at Nordys but didn't fit right. Must be us strange Pacific Northwesters.

Yes they have boy vans. I got one pair from Kohl's...you could try there. The other pair came from shoe carnival or some store like that in the mall. They're *skater* shoes.

That's so funny...3 pirates was saying that Nick with his "dress up" outfits was what her son would call a skater. Maybe I'll try target or fred meyer today

I got cleaned up, but I didn't clean. I got DD's jeans hemmed (had to take them up 3 inches, poor kid and her short legs, just like me). then I had to fix the sleeves on her shirt. Just not motivated to do much else today.

From what I've read...he doesn't sound like my definition of a skater. On my campus...half the boys skateboard...most of them are the surfers. I wouldn't quite categorize your son as a skater/surfer.

Snuck away for just a few minutes...still cleaning...who knew the areas on the legs of the dining room table and coffee tables got dusty!

And Susan, sorry, didn't mean to imply Nick was actually a skater...that's just what Brian would say...he also isn't judgmental when he says it. He has a couple of friends that dress that way, and calls them skaters. Funny thing is, one IS into skateboarding, one is not. Still skaters. Like I said, don't totally get it, don't have the rule book. Plus, what I do know about middle schoolers is their rules change about three times a day, so the rule book would be obsolete if I did have it!

It will be interesting to see what happens with crock-mania when it gets a bit colder. I have seen some people wear them with socks. I did around the house for a couple of days after I got my Mickey ones...wanted to get them broken in a bit. They are great shoes for around the house....so good on your joints and stuff! I saw a woman at the hair place a few weeks ago...she had a pair of socks and some cute tan Mary Jane style shoes...I was actually admiring them when I realized they were Croc! Who woulda thought. Usually they are characteristically ugly...kinda like Birkenstocks.

OK, back to the stupid dust!

Thanks Mary Ann. He just told me he's getting operated on tomorrow at 1...hopefully it will go as smoothly as his brother's.

Good luck with your friends surgery if I don't "talk" to you before tomorrow.

BTW, everyone, I found out that my neighbor (the sick one) fell down a couple of steps and hit concrete. He has a concussion, and in his condition is pretty weak. He is still at the hospital, as is she. The people that were over are friends from the boys' private school. Several of those families are over there today decorating the house for Christmas....isn't that awesome!

I've been wearing my crocs with socks! So I'm strange. They are very comfortable but it is too cold not to have socks around here.

Well, so much for NOT cleaning. DH got on a rampage and we have all been cleaning the h*** out of the house! Ugh, Exhausted now.
