Good morning Jen! Kat, if you haven't been to Charleston since 1987 I am sure it is pretty different, now. Not only because of the passage of time but also because you were here "Pre-Hugo". We moved here in 1995. People here often talk about area sites as pre or post Hugo. That storm (1989) really dessimated this area. From what I understand, the vegetation is only now starting to look similar to what it used to be like.
I am really glad the kids are getting to know each other a bit, too. This will be our first cruise and vacation period that we have taken in years without going with another family or at least knowing other people who were going to be there ahead of time. My kids went to sleep-away camp for the first time without knowing anyone and I think that maybe it made it easier for them to integrate with new kids (they had to!).
Do you work in Historical Preservation? That topic is still pretty big here. It is such a cool area.
