oooo i guess i will have to talk to him about it sometime! it's so good i can't wait for next week! hehe :teeth:

alrighty well i suppose it's bed time for this chica... have a great night everyone! :wave2:

I got Sam set up so she could post to the kids board on her computer but apparently at some point I had been there on my old ID! It seems it is still active. I was looking at that board this morning and her last post was under KatHuss, not KSDTink! :rotfl:

Good morning. I think she and my son Sam hade had a bit of a conversation but they are online at different times.

Yes, they did. At first she thought he was a Samantha. I had to explain that the other Sam was a boy! I think they are all going to have a great time since they will have had a chance to chat a bit before the cruise. She has never really had anyone to hang with on prior cruises so she has gotten lonely and bored and I think this will be a nice change for her, especially with it being such a long cruise.

I just noticed you are from Charleston, Sarah. I was down there for about a month taking a Historic Preservation course almost (ugh) 20 years ago! God, was it that long ago??? It must have been :scared1: , it was 1987! Beautiful city. By the time I headed back north, though, all my friends looked at me funny because I pick up accents and those 4 weeks were enough for me to have picked up a distinct southern accent! :rotfl: I lived in Milwaukee at the time so it was pretty amusing to them.

hello all....got like an hour of sleep...gonna register for classes than sleep again...

Good morning Jen! Kat, if you haven't been to Charleston since 1987 I am sure it is pretty different, now. Not only because of the passage of time but also because you were here "Pre-Hugo". We moved here in 1995. People here often talk about area sites as pre or post Hugo. That storm (1989) really dessimated this area. From what I understand, the vegetation is only now starting to look similar to what it used to be like.

I am really glad the kids are getting to know each other a bit, too. This will be our first cruise and vacation period that we have taken in years without going with another family or at least knowing other people who were going to be there ahead of time. My kids went to sleep-away camp for the first time without knowing anyone and I think that maybe it made it easier for them to integrate with new kids (they had to!).

Do you work in Historical Preservation? That topic is still pretty big here. It is such a cool area.

-Sarah

I used to work in Historic Preservation but I quit a long time ago.

Morning Jen. Did you get any sleep?? I charged four of those batteries last night and they are now in a flashlight that takes four batteries. I have it sitting here on my desk at work, turned on and waiting to see how long it lasts.

My shirts arrived from cafepress today. Mine isn't quite what I expected but it is good. I ordered a medium in the cap sleeve ones for Samantha. That is supposed to be an adult medium!!!!!?????? I'm not sure it will fit her! I have to have her try it on tonight because if it doesn't fit I need to exchange it immediately. It looks tiny! Wow.
