Hi y'all! That's Georgia talk--we've lived here for 12 years, so I can use it now! :)

Thought I'd tell you that as far as my doc here knows, we shouldn't have trouble getting flu vaccines in a few weeks when my kids are out of school for a teacher something or other. Of course, I could be unpleasantly surprised then, but I've been told not to worry about it.

Also, can I ask a favor of someone on the kid post site? Kev posted the other day and when he checked back had no answers. He was disappointed. :sad2: He posted again today. If somebody doesn't mind having their younger person give him a "shout out" I know it would make his day when he checks back. Thank you....

Already a done deal...had Michaels come in and check the posts and said 'Why dont you say hi to Kevin...so he did. :)

Samantha was going to post this morning but it was time to leave for school so I will have her post this evening too. Sounds like we have a mixed group in the same age bracket, should be interesting :rotfl: .

Hi Everyone...Hope you all had a great weekend.

Kat, I feel your pain - last year Delta drove me nuts with 2 of my trips to FL. I had so many flight changes, and each time I had to call and get me seats re-assigned. On my Easter flight, I couldn't get my seats re-assigned (they verbooked and I didn't call in time to get my seats back) basically putting me on stand-by. Finally, when I caught they had added a new flight and was empty, I insisted they put me on it. Anywho, my advise is to check that flight everyday because they will steal your seats, put you on stand-by and no amount of begging will budge them :furious: .

Now Matt, when you guys finally get on the ship you all must be pretty tired, no?

Not following TAR this time around. Still hooked on Survivor. However, a little bored so far this season.

Haven't even thought about the clothes shopping yet. I'm thinking I may have waited too long to get anything summery - oh well. Just have to make do.

..................and FUN!!!!!

Yes, should be funny to watch the group. Luckily they are young enough that the boy/girl part shouldn't be too big an issue. You know, none of that :love2: stuff!

Thanks for posting to Kev. I'll try to get him to check it tonight before bedtime. He'll be thrilled! :cloud9:

Just chiming in and saying Hello!

Can't believe some parts up here are under a snow advisory. Yesterday was beautiful- in the 80's and I was gardening in a T-shirt - now north of here is under a snow advisory - yuck :confused3

Got lots of sticky magnetic tape today -now to come up with a door sign. :)

I wrapped the majority of my X-mas presents today. I think I am done for dd's :cheer2:

Hope you are all doing well

Take care

Denise

Wow, Denise.....X-Mas presents wrapped??? You are my hero. I have not even begun to even deal with that yet. Just started to pick up a few things, but far from done.

:goodvibes Well, Thank Goodness we shouldn't have to worry about that yet. Scary to think in a few years all our kids will be ready for "The Stack" :rotfl:

My 12 y.o will be 13 in January...missed the stack this year but not for the 2008 cruise...sure wish they would come out and tell us what is up for 2008. Going to pass going in 2007,want to build a deck on my house and restucco and also build our Waterfall fireplace outside in the back near the pool.
So if anyone here is looking for 2008 special cruise to go on(if there is one) than we shall meet again :thumbsup2 :)

Robin

Waterfall Fireplace....Sounds like my kind of pool.

We are looking to book 2008 while on board. We usually do the Holiday Cruise every 2 years. Problem is, if they make the dates for 2008 X-Mas as "school schedule unfriendly" as they have done this year, we will definately have to pass. I think this is the last year we will be able to get away with pulling Julia out of school so many days in a row. We may have to look into April Vacation Week, Summer (not my ideal time - too hot), or even Thanksgiving.

Now if they do a Summer 2008 Cruise (mid-August) to Alaska, you're talking my lingo there :thumbsup2

Mid August wont work for us because we go back to school at that time. If we were not going to stay at WDW a week before this cruise my kids would have missed no school but this time they are missing 1 week.
We have 2 months off for summer -2 weeks off in October ( they are out of school right at this time) and 2 weeks off for Christmas and 2 weeks off for Easter and 4 days off for Thanksgivng. And no we are not all year long school

Tryed to go to WDW after cruise but there were no flight avalibilitys so had to take kids out for the week :sad2: . When we did the Panama Cruise we took the kids out for 14 days. But at that time they were in Elementary school. Big difference in Middle and Highschool, they miss two much.

So if they do as Alaska cruise in the summer than we are there. What the heck...may be there anyway as long as it is not the begining of the school year....can't miss the first week or two that would be a drag!!!

Anyway time will tell and if it is the carribian again than the carribian it is! But Hawaii or Alaske would be the BOMB :thumbsup2

I think you just need to get on the phone and INSIST that the school change there Christmas schedual because it is interfering with your holiday!!! :) and that you need your christmas Disney fix!
We are out from December 16 to January 2...tell them that you also want that schedual.

And as far as X-mas presents I tought Santa brought them...are you telling me that there is NO SANTA :scared1: :santa:

Jeez, I'm just thinking Halloween costumes, and people have their Christmas Gifts bought and wrapped? I feel so inadequate! :hourglass Guess I'd better get with it!

I'll have two in "the stack" although I will be interested in seeing how much time they spend there. They're pretty independent.....

But I have the best idea! :cool1: Since you won't be cruisin' next year (and maybe a lot of us won't) and you'll have the lovely new waterfall and all, I say party at your house! party: Just let us all know what to bring! :rotfl2: ;)

Seriously, it does get harder to get these trips in. One reason we are doing this cruise this year was that I looked when the school schedule came out awhile back and saw that for some insane reason the last day of school for us is December 15! What!!! What am I supposed to do with three boys out of school a full 10 days before Christmas! And, of course, the answer was.... :beach: :sail:
I could not take my high school student out. They save finals and such for the last couple of days and don't allow them to be taken early, not even for ::MickeyMo !!!

DH and I figured this was a sign that we were meant to be on this cruise! :woohoo:

I didn't get Kev back on his boards tonight--got caught up in craziness with a missing book report rubric for DS almost 14. I don't even try mornings because his bus comes at 7 a.m., but I'll have him read his posts after school.

Oh, and Jen, we're kinda liking Studio 60--especially DH!

Party at my house :dance3: ...coool "Bring it on" We have the PTA pool party at my house every year...between adults and kids we have about 79 bodies. You should see my pool and it is a BIG pool...wall to wall kids and people and you don't want to see what it looks like when everyone leaves
But they are all great about bringing my house and yard back to order before the last person leaves....great people, great friends!!!! :thumbsup2
