and eating. Forget the diet. I just want to go home and crawl under the covers and wake up in 29 days! Okay I'm kinda depressed for no reason.

Only one more class and the orthodontist.. then bed

It's painful when someone you have trusted lies, and the closer you were to them the more it hurts...I do wonder how some people look in the mirror every day.... And usually it IS best to just keep those people out of your life as much as possible...for some reason, they don't often change. I'll bet the sister is driving you crazy Kat!

Susan, I give my kids allowance just because I'm teaching them to make choices...and not bug me for stuff...Want to go to the movies with friends, better make sure you have the money....Don't want to spend your money? You must not care much about the movie. That's been relatively easy to do when it was all for their own entertainment anyhow.

Jen, I JUST heard about the NC storms. They were saying yesterday morning we might get it here, but I thought it all went South--apparently some went North too! Our rain quit some time during the night, but there has not been one ray of Sun today....and it's chilly! I think it is supposed to stay a little cool but be sunny for days now. Sounds good to me for Thanksgiving week!

I'm allowed to DIS right now, because I have Christmas stuff printing...so I'm getting work done! How's that for rationalizing? Uh-oh, no sooner do I say that then DS comes in...and I guess I better get ready to start . Talk to you all later!

Yes bad storms here last night and this morning...and as far as lying...its even worse when they keep doing it. I've given him so many chances to just come clean...but he hasn't taken them

I just never have the cash for allowence and when I do i borrow it all back My kids don't ask for things all the time probably afraid of what I would add to their chore loads to pay for it

They would do better with allowences but its me that is the lazy one.

DD doesn't get a regular allowance, only gets it when she helps with chores like stacking firewood, etc. I have also explained to her that we will have more to do with helping with my mother and that I am hoping that she will help with that. I have offered to pay her to be a caregiver when she helps and she thinks that is ok.

I didn't get an allowance after I went to college, you are lucky you still do!

Then I started paying bills on the internet and realized I could just tell the computer to give them allowance So, we all went to the bank to open up savings accounts for the kiddies. Well, it wasn't exactly like when I was a little girl.... Now they get their allowance sent into an account that they can't really access.... I'm not sure it is any good but they don't bug us for allowance any more.

that's how i bought my horses and my car...cept my parents put my allowance in the stock market

Nick has not matured yet. oly 4'7" tall and 73 lbs!!! Little 14 yr old with hair usually everywhere and glasses and don't forget braces!!!!! Poor kid but he does have personality plus!!

Ryan is 7 and is 4'4" and 102 lbs give or take but dad is 6'7" scot/nor and I am mexican, pacific islander, and scottish/norweigan. I think it is the islander that makes him so stocky!

Just called - like Kat - about the holiday gifts - The lady went over them on the phone with me two blow up gifties for little kids "frosty fun" and a "snowman" she told me they don't have candy or anything that would appeal to a 12-16 yr old. The onthy other things they offer is floral holiday arragements yech not fot teens.

Might have to do it myself. Trying not to have to
