Yep, did the same today too, Kat. I'd like to say it feels great to have it paid off, but actually, just put it on the CC and still won't be paid off for a few months

As far as the shirts, I'll go with what ever everyone decides. I'm in for an adult large. Just post the cost and I'll mail payment right away.

Sandra, congrats on your new job and on your 25th. What a great way to celebrate.

The Santa Scoop; Yes, Santa does hand out gifts to the children on Christmas Morn. Last year it was from 9:30AM - 11AM. I have to warn you, the last two times I cruised for Christmas, the line was very long. Goes past the end of Lumieres, down to the Gingerbread House, sometimes into the lounge area. For those that want to get off the ship early for CC, I would suggest to get in line at least 1/2 before the posted start time. Once it is your turn, you visit with Santa, get an age appropriate gift, photo op and that's it. Pretty quick once your turn has arrived.

Yeah, I put mine on the Disney Visa so I get the extra $$ to spend on the cruise but I will be paying it off into next year I am sure!!!

If DD wants to see Santa on Christmas morning we will get in line but she may not want to stand in line to do that. I personally would rather stand in line to see Jack Sparrow for a pic, but that's just me  pirate: .

I wish we knew when the on-board activities were so we could schedule our ornament exchange and things like that. Definitely want to do the gingerbread house!!!

Mary Ann, got your stocking done yesterday. I am slowly working on them! For anyone who hasn't told me which character you want, please pm me and I can let you know what is left, etc. I need to get some more iron-on paper and paint to finish them. Maybe I will do that this afternoon. I didn't get to take lunch so I am leaving work early today.

Thanks for doing my stocking, Kat. I appreciate it :) .

Perhaps there could be a Jack Sparrow dressed in a jingle suit :confused3 . Just getting a mental pitcure....... :rotfl:

Gingerbread House Design scoop; On the last 10 Day, registration was on Monday (Sea Day) and the workshop was on Tuesday (also Sea Day). Both sign up and the workshop was at 10:15AM. This activity was a blast. Julia definately wants to do it again.

I know last time we did the ornament exchange on a port day and some people were late because of their excursion. Perhaps a Sea Day in early afternoon would be better?????

I dug out all my navigators, so if anyone has any questions (activites, themes for dinner/clubnights and such) I'd be happy to look it up for you.

jEn

I sent you an email. I guess I will let my family join me for the cruise :rolleyes1

Thanks!!!!

Yeah, we don't get much in the way of overtime so if we don't get our lunch break my boss generally lets us leave early. He's a pretty nice guy.

Jack Sparrow in a santa hat??? hmmm, having trouble picturing that one....

Of course there will be the obligatoory screenings of whichever of the POTC movies they show on pirate night, etc! pirate:

Yes, I think a sea day would be better for the ornament exchange. We should probably have some sort of signup sheet for that, eh?

Hi everyone,

Just popping in for a quick hello. I've been trying to read this thread as often as I can to try to keep up--I just don't post much.

Paid off at the end of August. Was able to book at 105 days out since we snagged a suite. Booked Palo brunch and one excursion--Capt. Nautica in St Thomas (did it last 10 night Christmas cruise and loved it). This will be our first time trying Palo. We only want to try the brunch. I don't want to leave the kids alone (even though they are older) just to eat dinner there. I like eating dinner all together.

We'll be in double digits soon!!

Jen--I'll send you our new room #.

Judy

Hi All - I have been looking at the excursions and am feeling alittle overwhelmed. Any recommendations for first timers? Also, I thought they had horseback riding at St. Lucia but I cannot find it now. HELP!! We can't book until the 75 day mark but I am trying to figure out what is fun and what we shouldn't miss.

One other question DS is 7 and will be 7 1/2 at cruise time. He can swim. Do you think we will be able to do the banana boat ride at CC?

Dreams Unlimited has this listed for St. Lucia:

Horseback Riding Adventure (3 - 3.5. hours)
You'll be taken on a 30 minute motor coach ride to the Belle Cheval Stables. Once here, you'll receive instructions while having your riding ability assessed. A carefully trained horse will be selected for you and you'll begin your excursion. Helpful guides will accompany you for the two hours you'll spend traversing the terrain. Your outing includes a visit to the beach. While here, you can either ride your horse along the waters edge or go for a swim. It's your choice as you enjoy an unforgettable day in paradise riding a magnificent steed.
Price: $85.00 (ages 12 and up)

Here is their site with links to the excursions for the 10 day holiday cruise:

For the banana boat ride you would need to check with DCL but I think they are pretty strict on the age restrictions.

DCL is like a brick wall with ages. Here's the example that makes divers mad...

PADI minimum age is 10 for a certification...
DCL minimum age for diving is 12...

so 10 and 11 year old divers CANNOT go...nomatter how hard you beg..

i only say that because we tried with my sister
