12/10/05 ~ Anyone else cruising.....??

My sister couldn't get through last night.. It said her CC number was invalid. I guess I never posted what I booked. Sunday Brunch 11:00am (guess I will see you Miss Mulan!), High tea Monday, Palo dinner 7:30 Thursday. I figured we could catch the matinee of Disney Dreams. (At least they had that on the Western cruise).

How many shoes is everyone bringing. I can't pack yet, Colorado is still warm, and I am wearing my cruise clothes still. We went to Santa Barbara for 4 days, and our suitcases weighed in at 48lbs apiece. Guess I will have to do some consolidating for this cruise, as to not go over the 50lb mark.

OH NO! I have been checking on the reservation every week so knew that all of our info was entered correctly. Did she try calling them to fix it?

We usually take a small suitcase filled with shoes. For me there are black, white, & ivory sandals for dinner, pool/beach shoes, brown & white sandals for day, & sneakers for walking around in port. DD will have her white & black dress shoes, white sandals, & flip flops. Of course I did just get her red sandals & black sandals to match a couple dresses. DS is easy...day sandals, black & brown shoes for dinner, & pool sandals.

I just got a couple more costumes for DD but they are mediums & touch the ground so they will wait until next year. She has handled the part about them being too big for now & saving them for the cruise without getting upset so maybe I will be able to have her try on the SW costume without a problem. You will recognize me on the ship because I will have the bag with a couple costumes in it at dinner. She can dress for dinner then I will run into the bathroom to change her for a picture...or she can just slip the dress on over what she has on.

Linda, I'm sorry you're sister couldn't get through last night.....that must be an awful feeling to stay up, log on and try to get ressies but it won't let you. At least I know what my excuse is.....Poor Planning.

Lisa, I was thinking of you when I went to bed on how maybe 6 months ago you were still on dialup...can you imagine that?? I have DSL and still had to wait for the page to load last night. I'm glad things worked out.

I am bringing maybe 4 pairs of footwear (including flip flops). I went to buy beach socks for my kids and new speedo goggles. I don't think there's anything else I need to get because I'm using almost the same things I used on my last cruise.

I'm getting excited myself!

Wow, you guys were really busy last night. I wasn't home so I didn't get a chance to stay up for the ressie party.
I did go on line and get some today though. I got the kids taken care of and got our Doubloon Sail and Snorkle reserved.
Monday Brunch at 10:30 am
Thursday Dinner at 7:30.
So, I guess I will probably see some of you at Brunch and others at dinner.
I am thinking about doing a massage for myself, but I wanted to do it Sunday morning and they didn't have any slots left in the morning.

As far as shoes goes, last time we didn't have too many with the 4 day cruise, but I am sure that I will have more this time with the formal wear. DS and DH will be easy. A pair of sandles, tennies, and dress shoes. DD and I will probably have a couple of extra pairs. We should still be able to fit them all in a carryon type suitcase though.

Everyone sure was busy last night. I didn't even bother to log in here . . . too busy trying to coordinate plans with Lisa - women must be better multi-taskers! Even so, I messed up when making my dinner reservations-the part I was supposed to do - let me tell you, it goes very quickly at that 3:00 am time, and with a fuzzy brain, I only made the reservation for 2 instead of for 4 like I was supposed to - hit that reserve button too fast!

I did not stay up though, I went to bed, and got up at 2:30.

Vanessa, today my DS and I went to the Brown's game - tell your DH he is lucky he is not around here - what an awful game!

Our consolation though is that the Indians are in first place in the wild card, and playing on national TV tonight! Go Tribe!

Yes there are always some little girls with costumes on during the entire day. DD wore her version of the Cinderella dress for formal night...and threw it on quickly in the corner of the atrium before Cinderella came out on another night. I found it easy to use my canvas bag (about the size of the one CC members are getting now) to take a costume or two with us to dinner. There are always picture ops before & after dinner. After the late show there are princesses & other characters all over the 3rd & 4th decks...with very little traffic. They may not have photographers with them but I always have a camera or two with us. Call the PALS line at night to get the specific schedule for the next day. I know which princesses will be out between 6 & 10 and pack those dresses up in my bag. We have pictures of her with all the princesses over the past two cruises BUT we only have her with Cindy in her little Cindy dress & Aurora in her little Aurara dress. Belle wasn't out as much last cruise...or we were able to meet other characters for the first time...so that picture didn't happen. I will be better prepared this time. DD does dress up for dinner but I would rather not have her get a Mickey Bar all over the costumes which do not wash well.

This afternoon we actually did a mini fashion show to see which dresses fit her best. She was SO excited each time I pulled a new costume out of my closet. LOL! We now have SW, SB, Belle, C, & LM. I'll get them uploaded soon.

LOL! I wont tell, Donna! Sometimes DS dresses up with DD...and we don't exactly have alot of boy dress up stuff. I have some ammunition to use when he is older. ROFL! The dresses seemed to make the fact that I wouldn't let her go to the neighbor's with everyone else to play on the trampoline a little easier to take. Except for the small SW, they are mediums...so about an inch or so to long. Fine for a picture but not for walking around the ship.

Did everyone get well rested! My sister-in-law got our ressies. Dinner on Sunday @ 7:00 for 4. I'm so happy we got that because we will be renewing our wedding vows that night. Brunch is on Thursday at 11:00 for 2. We really need for 4. So at 75 days I will make my ressies. On 75 days does the ressies open at 3:00am also?

I've started my packing list. But really I'm ready to pack up & go.

The only flight I could book for home was at 5:30pm! We will be at the airport from the time Disney drops us off til flight time. I guess this will be a good time to catch up on any reading!

This week I will be paying for my post-season tickets.

This year, even partial season ticket holders (20 games) can buy tickets for every game of every playoff series.

I also goofed and made our dinner ressies for 2 not 4. We need to include my uncle and aunt with us. I did call them today and asked that it be changed to 4. I was told, "it won't matter, they are all for 4. Don't worry about it." Hmmmm. I think I will worry. I noted the conversation today and will go to Palo's reservations once we are on the ship and make sure it is for 4 people.

John - my husband would love to be going North this October...but I highly doubt that will happen. He was thrilled with the game and yes the stadium looked great full...I love that stadium though....

On the Palo bookings....mine were for 2, and it just has my name listed, were any of you able to get two names on there? I guess it doesn't matter...if it was 1 person I would assume they would have to put you at a table for two.

Lisa - those are such cute pics!! I should try all Samantha's costumes on - but was going to save them for birthday presents....
DH's Jack Sparrow came on Saturday and I haven't even opened it yet! I hope it fits him...so for Halloween I guess I can be a pirate too and then that way I can reuse the costume on the ship. They have an awesome pirate outfit for a little girl that someone made but it is going for about $200 right now, if only I could sew! I have such great ideas but would rather someone else do them!

I also realized this weekend....I booked CSR over the Thanksgiving weekend...Wed - Sunday for around $100 total (the Florida glitch) and that weekend Florida plays Florida State (at home) so I guess we will be checking out early!! Luckily I won't mind as we are not paying anywhere near regular price.
