12/10/05 ~ Anyone else cruising.....??

John,

You do have it at both ends. God bless you. My DD wants to go to college SC. So I don't think that she will be dropping off the laundry. But then again she just might change her mind.

But my son is a different story. I don't think that he will ever leave me. He told me that he want to live with me forever.. LOL He is only 11. I think in time he will change his mind also.

I love him to death. For him, this is why we are taking this trip. He as had a hard 11 years. He got very sick last year and our doctor sent us to the Make-A-Wish foundation.

This will be a nice time for us. For when we get back, my son will be having surgery again. (his 10th)

We are almost completely packed, and I have to tell you Lisa that Amy is a nervous wreck because we have NEVER been packed this soon! We usually pack the night before we leave.

John

Can Amy come here to help me pack. I have NEVER been so close to a date to leave for a trip & not been packed before. :earseek: I am a nervous wreck because of it. YIKES! Next year I am packing up the kid's favorite summer outfits when I switch out their clothes in October. I just wont tell anyone. :rolleyes1

Pixie dust needed. Wendy has forgotten baby Dylan's birth certificate. She will have to have her in-laws go in person to the county registar's office to get an official copy before they fly out on Friday. Hopefully it can be done......

I hope that they are able to get this ASAP. :) Is it possible for them to get it out of her house? Be greatful that they live right there.

There are places online where you can order a BC & get it in a couple days. It does cost but it could help.

They only have the hospital certificate which isn't considered official. The Grandparents will have to go in person to get a copy. I would hope they would do it sooner than later so Wendy can have peace of mind and enjoy her time at WDW.

Jordan,

UGLY will not even begin to describe what that game may be like . . . For years the Bengals were a laughingstock - it was like a bye week. But now, they seem to be for real - thumped the Steelers today in a good game.

Jessica - our DD was a surprise - we thought our son would be an only child for 13 years, and then - SURPRISE! Our son did not want to stray far from home, and got into a 6 yr medical program to study to be a doctor. He is at Youngstown State U, and then on to NEOUCOM Med school after 2 years. It is a grueling program to get the undergrad in 2 yrs, but he seems to be doing OK so far.

I hope this is a great trip for your DS. It sounds like he deserves it. It should be a great time for your entire family - I can't think of a better vacation. My DW kept wanting to go on a cruise for years, and I kept resisting. Now you have to drag me off the ship!

John

Oh, and Cristi, whether you are in bed or not, you can leave that T-Shirt at home, please?

The Browns are one of the few teams to yet play in a Super Bowl. So strange when you think how great they were in the 50's and 60's.

I would be freaking out as well! :(

Good night. As Cristi said, 5:15 is too early. Especially 5:15 EST.

John

Okay, I haven't made it to bed yet, but the kids are in bed. John, I will leave the shirt home if it will make you happy. :flower:

Jessica.. I hope you guys have a great trip. It sounds like you all deserve it. I can't wait to meet everyone on board!

Goodnight for real now...

Are you close to tears too, Cristi? I felt that way last week too. :( Grey's has been so emotional the last couple weeks.

I have so much to do...I can't go to sleep. However, what needs to be done can't be since everyone else is sleeping. :confused3

Welcome, Jessica..... You will be fine on deck 1, we are on deck 2 and like it. Anyplace on the ship is good for me... :flower:

Hey Cristi, what room are you in? We're slated for 2600? or a little higher.

It's 11pm PST. Jenny, Angie and maybe Tammie are the only ones that could be awake. I am cleaning my house before I leave, but it's hard because the house is in disarray. My roommate got hardwood floors in the living room and hallways so furniture is all moved around making it hard to clean up.

I also have packing to do. My neck got thicker so my dress shirts are not fitting.....yikes. May have to stop and pick up a shirt...

Welcome, Jessica! We were on Deck 2 last year and it was fine. Agree with the others. Anywhere on the ship is wonderful. This is our 7th DCL cruise also. Just DH and myself this time. :wave2:

Jordan, I did not quite understand. Can you tell us how you really feel about the Raiders? :rotfl:

Pixie dust for Wendy! I could not find DH's birthcert. last year, so I thought that I would just send for another rather than turn the house upside down. He was born in Orange County, CA also. We requested one and got a letter back saying they could find NO RECORD of his birth! :scared1: They did keep the $18 fee for their trouble of looking for it though. :rolleyes1 So, I did turn the house upside down and found the copy we had previously. I had intended to take the copy I have WITH the letter they sent me to them in person when we were down there last summer, but ran out of time. Next trip though I think I will make a point of doing that. How can they possibly not have a record of his birth when they had it 6 years ago? :confused3 I have kept a close eye on both of our birth certificates since then. We plan to get a passport this year.

Busy day today. Went to see Dad, picked up Mom. While I was gone DH got the Christmas letter done and some labels printed. We then took Mom, DD, DSIL and DGS out for Mexican dinner then bought Christmas cards, got all 75 signed addressed and letters in and they are ready to go. Gave DH a haircut so he looks spiffy! :lovestruc DH also got the labels done for the wine bottles and I got those into my backpack and ready to go. I have to take Mom grocery shopping in the morning, go to the post office for stamps and get refills of my meds. One final load of laundry and then we are off to an appt for new equipment for DH's cpap machine at 2 then to the Embassy Suites at the airport for the night. 6 am flight Tues morning. Think I am ready! :Pinkbounc  pirate:

i'm here lurking a little bit. just came back from walmart and target for last minute stuff.

lotsa pixie dustsi for Wendy. I feel so unnerving on her behalf. Too bad I don't know anyone who works there that can speed the process!

Took our holiday picture yesterday so trying to decide which photo looks best. We did the "cruise" holiday photo card last year so we don't want to do that again this year.
