12/10/05 ~ Anyone else cruising.....??

John.. That is great news! I am glad you will be there at the sailaway with us. :cool1:

Vanessa.... that's too bad about your car. Just keep thinking about the drink of the day around the Mickey pool while we watch the kids playing :grouphug:

Rachel and I just got back from Harry Potter. It was really good. I really liked the 4th book a lot and I was worried how the movie would turn out. They did have to leave a lot out, but it was well done I thought. Rachel kept jumping and grabbing my arm during the movie. This was the first one she has seen in the theater. The others she didn't see until I bought them on DVD.

Maggie... I don't have an answer for you about the internet package. I have never gotten it. I just thought I would say hey!

Who still doesn't have their docs? Is it just us further west? I sure hope they come tomorrow. I don't think that I can wait until next week. :bitelip:

Hi All,

Jordan, I'm glad it looks like you'll be on the ship with us.

Vanessa, I'm sorry to hear about the car problems.

Cristi; I spoke to my TA today and she said the docs were sent on the 15th and they should be on her desk Tuesday, she doesn't work Monday AAHHH.

I think I'll take the girls to see Harry Potter and Zanthura next week as those movies won't be on the ship :)

Have a great night all,

Deidre... Okay, mine should be soon too. I didn't use a TA, I went directly through DCL. You would think they might be quicker that way, but NOOOOO. ;)

That is great news John... We are so glad you and the family will be able to make it, no matter what happens!

I went and saw Harry Potter as well, and thought it was very good. I just think they are getting so involved now that you really have to read the books to really appreciate the movies. I agree though, this one was the best movie yet.

Can you believe there is still another tropical storm out there?? Will this hurricane season ever end? :confused3

Is anyone doing the parks before or after the cruise? The Christmas decorations are up everywhere. The Osborne Lights already started, and we already have our holiday parade. It seems like every year it starts a little bit sooner. I can't wait to walk on the ship and see that christmas tree!

Well off to bed now... :faint:

Great news John. I guess I still buy you that beer...

My cousin got her docs today. I booked (my cousin actually booked for me) through Costco and she used her DVC points. I think I will probably receive them tomorrow or early next week...

Shelley-

We're going to the parks before the cruise. I can't wait, in exactly 2 weeks now we will be IN the parks :) :cool1:

I am waiting anxiously for my docs.

DH went into the girls closet and asked where all of their clothes were, he got this frantic look on his face as he said "we don't leave for 2 weeks, what will they wear?" He got an even more frantic look on his face when I told him I had gone through all their clothes and got rid of what didn't fit so now I have to go do more shopping :rotfl2: My poor husband, I almost feel sorry for him :rotfl:

Have fun all,

I have a slightly off topic question here but here goes...

Has anyone tried the Pal Mickey at WDW? If you have what have you thought about it? Is it worth the buy or just rent it? I think it's $8/day to rent and then you can put your rental amount towards the purchase of $60 some dollars.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Shelley, we are doing 3 days at the parks before the cruise. We cannot wait to see all the decorations again. We will see the Candlelight Processional at least once.

John, :cheer2:  :Pinkbounc So glad you will be able to make it. My DH said "I give them my resignation." He would too. He has his priorities straight! :rotfl:

I think the luggage tags going onto the ship are all the same. Ours are green too. I think you get the different colors when you leave the ship to make sorting them easier. :confused3

We are far west coast and far north and got our docs on Friday. Does not seem to be where in the country you live. We booked thru DVC, but the return address on the envelope they came in was DLC.

Diedre, we have never used Mickey Pal. We are pretty familiar with the parks though. :earsgirl: :earsboy: Shelley might be able to offer some advise on that.

Thursday evening we committed to chaparone our DGS band trip to DL in March. We were thinking we would not due to expense, but it seems quite reasonable. $715 per person and we will be staying at the Grand Californian, it includes 3 nights, 3 day hopper passes, 3 buffet breakfasts (one a character breakfast the other two at Rainforest), 3 dinners, and airfare from Portland to Orange County. Now we have another Disney trip to get excited about after we get off the cruise! :Pinkbounc

OK, gotta go CLEAN for Thanksgiving gathering. UGH. We definately have issues with keeping this place picked up. JUNK MAIL! ARGH!!!! Mounds of it on my dining room table, on my couch, on my floor!

Wow Angie;

I hope you have a great time in DL. Our trip there made us decide to go to WDW so I hope you have a great time out there.

Hi Guys - Halftime at OSU - Michigan, McKinley-Massillon take 2 tonight for the HS big division regional final tonight.

As to Pal Mickey - we have one. Sophia just had him out today with us, as when you are not at the parks, he tells cute jokes.

I honestly must say though that for "tips" I can't really say that I recommend him. He is supposed to "vibrate" or "shake" when you walk by something in the parks and he has a hot tip for you. As most of you know, it is pretty noisy in the parks most of the time, and while running around, I would never feel his shake or vibration. Even when we thought he was trying to tell us something, he was hard to hear.

I think it is a cute toy, and a cute idea - but not as effective as they would have you believe for helping you out while you are out at the parks.

John

Wahoo! :cool1: Just got an e-mail from our TA (Tim Larison) that he's sending our docs priority. It's feeling real now! The kids paper chain is getting shorter and shorter... So why is my stress level getting higher and higher? Oh yeah.... packing for four and Christmas shopping! We're almost done with the shopping. Is anyone else scaling down the family gifts this year as a result of their cruise expenses? We're going to tell the kids that Santa could only stay a couple of minutes this year....! Ha! :earsgirl:
