12/10/05 ~ Anyone else cruising.....??

Our first cruise was actually a Christmas gift to me from DH. We went 11/15/03. We have gone each year & haven't really scaled down too much, though by reading on the community board I had no idea how much some spent on Christmas. I usally do my shopping after the holidays & with specials during the year so get things for 50-75% off. This year was suppose to be just the GBAs & a couple other things. Well, some REALLY good deals came along & they have been added to the list.

Just checking in. Finishing up work and decided to see what everyone is up to. I am beat.

I'm here Jordan.... you arent alone. Still no docs here either. I guess it will be at least Monday now.

My family thinks I am crazy. Everyday for about the past week (maybe longer) I have had at least one conversation each day start with " When we are on the cruise......" Rachel has started rolling her eyes at me. Tonight we went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. I got a mixed drink there, can't remember what it was called. When it came to the table and I tasted it I said something about how festive and cruise like it was. That got me a and a "Mom....." from Rachel. I don't know how I am going to stand it until we leave. My family might put me in the loony bin

Cristi -- I can relate! I think I start almost every sentance with "when we're on the cruise....."! I'm so excited that I'm concerned I'm going to have a big-time let down when the cruise is over and we're heading home. Boo hoo! Thankfully we'll have Christmas celebrations to look forward to!

Jordan -- where in OC do you live? We used to live in Irvine and Rancho Santa Margarita.... My DH is a big hockey fan too and cheers for the Ducks (or tries to!) He's just thankful there is hockey to watch this season!

LOL! Tonight at 6:05 I looked at DD & asked her if she knew what we would be doing in 3 weeks. Her eyes got big, she smiled, then shook her head. ROFL! I told her that if we are lucky enough to get early seating then we will be sitting down to our first dinner on the Magic! She just jumped up & said "my Ruby! my Ruby!" That is actually Rudy for those who don't know. He was our server on our first cruise & we were lucky enough to be able to switch to his section on our second. I told her that unfortunantly he isn't on the ship anymore. Then she frowns...but lights up agan & says then Marco! Marco! Well, honey...he works in Palo now so we will meet two new people this time but I am sure that you will like them just as much. ( I really hope so!) She went in & informed her brother of the news. They debated about it being ok. LOL!

I can't wait!

We went out tonight for my birthday, we came home to balloons and a small surprise party...my mom had gotten Cinderella party ware, flowers, cake, balloons and gifts...she said Samantha had a very hard time keeping out of the gifts and cake. One fo my gifts was Disney Dollars...I don't know who was more excited me or Samantha! My mom also got me a candle holder that is a pumpkin coach...it is made out of rought iron or some kind of wire....I love it...it is large enough to make a great centerpiece.... Samantha is pretty convinced we are sharing most all of my gifts!!

My shop at MGM Studios got new Mickey antenna toppers, using the various Florida colleges colors...Well those pesky merchandise presentation people had the nerve to put the Seminoles antenna topper in the top bin!!!!

So I quickly changed that and put the UF antenna toppers in the top bin, and put the seminoles in the bin WAY at the bottom.

I know how you feel, our thing was we were at...The Texas Roadhouse (coincidence??) last Sunday for lunch and I looked at DH and said...

"When we're on the cruise we can order what we want and not have to pay!!

I also meant I wouldn't have to cook or clean up after it but I didn't say that

DH just rolled his eyes at me.

It was going to be earlier but one of my guys decided he needed to break the rules so I had to deal with him. SSOOO much paperwork Oh well, I started up the car before I started up my paperwork so by the time I got in the car it was pretty warm

DH and I both have to work today...since we all have off T-Su this week (although I am working at HD Sunday) and also I will probably go shopping Friday morning to find a camera and then go in to owrk for a little while. I don't want to waste PTO.

Happy belated birthday, Vanessa! Sounds like you mom had a great party for you. Would LOVE to have a pumpkin coach centerpiece.

I already got my flu shot a couple of weeks ago. I work at a hospital and they always have them available for employees....well, not for all of us last year due to the shortage. Only direct patient care folks got them last year but this year we all got them if we wanted. I'd rather be safe than sorry and miss the cruise.

We were up late watching the USC-Fresno State game last night so I was not on line. Whew! It was a tough one, but the kids continue their winning streak. This week off then UCLA, or as they say in South Cental LA UGLY.

We watched a bit of the OS-Michigan game then switched to the west coast games. This was "cross state" weekend in the Northwest. We were not pleased with the outcome of either the WA/WA State or Oregon/Oregon State games, but oh well. Next year.

Shelley, too funny with the switcheroo of the antenna balls. Wonder if someone will switch them back when you are not there.
