12/10/05 ~ Anyone else cruising.....??

Wow, we are over 1000!

Linda, this week probably isn't good for us. I am sick. I woke up fine yesterday, but by mid-afternoon I was feeling pretty lousy. I ended up coming home a couple of hours early today. I rested for a little bit and now I have to go pick up the kids from afterschool care. Hopefully, I can kick this pretty soon. I keep popping the vit. C. On most weeks, Tuesdays are good, some Thursdays and Friday afternoons. Saturdays are usually pretty good too unless we have a cub scout meeting.

Well, the Indians Lost, so they saved me a pile of money that I would have spent on playoff tickets . . .

Playoff prices are set by MLB, can you believe a World Series ticket in Upper Box Seats along the 3rd base side were $140 EACH!

But, Yesteday at the game, we started our serious training for the cruise. Amy surprised me by buying club seats. :cool1: I don't know what they do at other stadiums in those kinds of seats, but at Jacob's Field, I would call them the "Cruise" seats. It includes all you can eat food in the club behind the seats, with all kinds of food and buffets. They also bring you all you want peanuts, crackerjacks, hot dogs, popcorn, ice cream, and sodas to your seats!

It was a 1:00 game, and we did not eat supper that night. :)

I told Amy I was going to get our money's worth, and to heck with the diet! :rotfl2:

Soungs like a great time, John! Too bad your team didn't win. :( I am still running on adrenaline from the fundraiser. Tomorrow is the PTO open house & DH is going to FL for a few days for work. OY!!!

Just found disboards today! This is a great resource! We're on the 12/10 Magic too. This will be our first cruise ever -- we're VERY excited and counting down the days until our great adventure begins! My husband and I will be traveling with our 6yr old son, and 3 yr old daughter. Also joining us are 7 other family members in three additional staterooms. We're all on the 7th deck. Looking forward to reading these posts and getting to know you! Is a list of the 12/10 cruisers subscribed to this board posted anywhere? If so please let me know so I can add our name. Thank you! :flower:

welcome to our thread....we people in western states are the only ones up. There is a website for folks on our cruise. LBGraves, Lisa, will have that info for you if you either email or Private Message her. She can direct you to the site and get your info.....I think as of right now we have 20 adults and 26 kids in our group...again welcome. If you have any ???s just ask, especially if you don't want to go through all 60 something pages of posts....

FYI, there are several of us on Deck 7.

Welcome!! Another 3 year old = yippee!! My DD will be 3 also -they can play in the club together!!

10/4/05.....WOW...Cinderella comes out today. I am going to buy it, I think Target or CC has the cheapest 16.98...I hope I can keep it for DD's birthday. Have you seen all the new Cinderella stuff/toys out there? Just in time for Chirstmas! We were at Wal-mart and they had the carriage, dolls, charming and all kinds of stuff! :)

I picked up bonine on Sunday just to have on hand and a couple small things of Advil and Tylenol...:) want to be prepared!

Here is the post explaining how to get info on the group website. We are not posting it on this thread since it contains more personal info about our families. I will email the link back to you after receiving and adding your info to the site.

Welcome to the group!!! Here's the info on the website that I am updating for all the DISers cruising with us. There is one teen in the group waiting to hear from others cruising with us. Tinkerbellsmom, I think that DisneyDi sent me some info for you but there is some info missing.

This is for the DISers who are posting to this thread. Please have an adult in your group send the following & I will add it to the site & send you the link.

Family name:
Individual names & the ages of the children cruising with you:
Celebration:
Stateroom:
Dining:
Hometown:
Pre Cruise: (date arriving in FL & where you will be staying Friday night)

A short note with where you work & what activities you like to do.

Please send a picture of your family to be included.

For those with children, please send an individual picture to be put on the DIS Kids page by age group so that the kids can get to know each other a little better. Let the kids tell the others their age, grade in school, favorite thing to eat on the ship, favorite Disney character, & their favorite activity on the ship.

My email is mandlgraves@cox.net

Welcome M & R Goss! We are happy to have you on board with us. If you have any questions ask away. :cool1:

Thank you for the warm welcome! :sunny:
Here's a question for you all.... Did I read somewhere that the little girls can wear their dress-up clothes on the formal night? Is that okay? My DD is crazy about Cinderella and wants to bring her Cindy costume on the cruise --- too cute! :earsgirl:
-Maggie

princess: yes, your DD can wear her princess dress during formal and semi-formal nights. heck, she can wear it everywhere she wants on the ship and it'll be okay!

Welcome Maggie!! Nice to have you!!!

Does anyone do anything to commemorate the countdown? Last year we did a paper chain and removed a link each day. Sometimes we have Mickey pancakes on the big days! (50 days to go, 1 month to go, 100 day mark etc.) It helps make the time go faster!

My DD will have a suitcase just for her princess costumes. They are a little long for her though so she will just put them on for the pictures. She does have some long party dresses to wear to dinner though.

The kids got their school pics back today. I just had to show them off.
