Brack, you had to book a cruise for Jan - early April this year by a date in December. On that cruise you received a bounceback certificate that you had to send in to get a 3 night cruise during the end of this year for $99 per person.

I remember now because the dates in January were about two weeks after our cruise took place the first week in January.

WHEW!!!! Yes, I am a bit excited about all this and then it hits me that it is going to be another almost 2 years before we go on this cruise. It reminds me so much of the good old days in

Prayers for you on Friday that the doctor is able to determine what she needs to do to help you.

I have been going through a majorly stressful medical issue since 8/31 and the next test and discussion with my doctor is 10/7. I am refusing to get a second opinion because I do not want to repeat the past three weeks and will insist on scheduling a biopsy to just end the questions. I cannot take another diagnosis of "not 100% positive that it is not benign". There. Not sure why it feels better to post here with you guys than on FB. Maybe this will help calm my nerves. After reflecting on all of the information I have and doing research yesterday I am feeling very at peace with my decision to insist on a biopsy. That should stop the "what ifs".

John you are always so eloquent! Exactly what I was thinking and down in the dumps about today. Sometimes it just all appears a bit...I don't know MUCH.

Just reading the posts on the health concerns and I will be putting these on my prayer list.

I too have been to a Cardiologist to do a stress test for a follow up on what my doctor called an "irregular" looking heartbeat. I had the test and will see the Cardiologist for the results on Monday. The worst part has been all three doctors said "At YOUR AGE Major Dodd we just want to be sure!" Each one just about my son's age.

Brack, keep us posted. We are "that age" too!

I haven't posted this yet but Annette and I are about this reunion cruise to Alaska! It is really neat to see her with a BIG smile every time we mention it and all of you guys going again.

I could hear her smiling on the phone when I talked to her about it the other day. This is going to be a GREAT cruise because of all of you guys being there.

John you and other got me through that colonoscopy this year - I swear I would not have been able to drink that crap any further if you had not all encouraged me. I was sick as a dog that night so my thoughts will be with you in prep.

The prep was the usual - except one good thing is this doctor uses stuff called "half-lytely" so I only had to drink half as much - but 8 ounces every 10 minutues to drink all 64 ounces! All I ate all day yesterday was some applesauce and Jello. I went to bed at 8:00 last night!

The procedure went fine, but I am wondering if they used a different anesthetic, because even after awake I was forgetting things. Glad I did not go in to work.

Anyhow . . . they did both scopes together.

Good news - clear - no cancer, no ulcers (I was sure they would find some of those).

Now . . . why is my Hemoglobin low? Doctor now wants to do a scope of the small intestine, so I will wait to hear from my family doctor and go from there. Meantime I am on serious iron pills.

Now . . . why is my Hemoglobin low? Doctor now wants to do a scope of the small intestine, so I will wait to hear from my family doctor and go from there. Meantime I am on serious iron pills.

Our house here has a "lanai" (Florida Room some people call them). We were at Big Lots a few weeks ago and they had a portable hot tub for $270.00; so we bought it. I put it together the other day and filled it up. It is pretty neat to sit in there at night and watch the stars. I love Florida!

Gosh that sounds nice. Meanwhile, Fall is here, and bracing for the coming winter . . . Can't complain though, summer has been mild, and so far Fall has been some lovely weather. Hope to not turn heat on until November 1.

We have pulled out the blankets here. The air has been off for over a month! Love the cooler weather. We have the benefit of being able to open the front and back doors and having all of the stuffy air sucked out quickly with the river breeze so do that a couple times a day and everything is great.
