12/09/06 Geeks.... Lost, but not forgotten

Brack, watching the INKed TV shows has not pushed me in the direction of getting one, more away from it.

I keep talking about getting a Mickey tattoo and that would be a good one. :thumbsup2 I have to get past the fact that it takes a needle to make it happen. :crazy2:

The thought of a needle...mkes me :crazy2: :scared: :sad1: :sad2:

I've been out of my office for two weeks! :crazy2: I'm still not 100% but I have to go in tomorrow for awhile. :badpc:

Hope that you feel better today, Brack and work isn't too challenging for you. :)

Brandi, enjoy the full week of school!

PJ, are you starting to pack yet?

Angie and Dennis, what have you guys been doing in Florida inbetween Geek reunions?

Carla, I was cleaning out the scrapbook stuff moving things out to my new crop table in the office and found your scream card. Still LOVE it!!! :)

We went to see the manatees at Blue Springs State Park one day, did the airboat ride one day, played Wii with my cousin's daughter in the RV one day (hope she will come play with us on her days off this week too!), went to visit my other cousin in Largo on Saturday. We had not seen him in 35 years and had never met his wife. She is a very sweet woman and we had a great visit with them. I took an apple pie for dessert and they called yesterday to tell us again how good it was. :goodvibes Lots of days we are just vegging, playing with the Wii, reading, doing word search, etc, etc. We did some grocery shopping and took a ride through Celebration on Friday. Not that is a town we could live in!! :thumbsup2

I am feeling a bit glum today. Jake started to wear glasses 6 months ago. He is very far sighted. The dr. warned that he may develop a lazy eye...guess what...that day came. Now he must wear an eye patch for 4 weeks. He is so sad about it. He had himself so worked up at school that he vomited....

I love the kid, but his ego is quite fragile. He is afraid of people laughing at him. Even when he does something funny, he hates to be laughed at. I know in the grand scheme of life it is no big deal, but he is my little man. When he is sad...me too. Sorry to be a downer...thanks for listening.

Oh, hugs for Jake! :grouphug: I don't like to be laughed at either! Can he pretend the patch is a pirate patch? Pirates are very cool!

:grouphug: Bless him!

Annette has a nephew that has had the same problem and has worn a patch for awhile each day for sometime. I have some photos of him with us at WDW and we did like Angie suggested. It made the patch a bit "cooler". ::yes::

That sounds like a really cool idea, Brandi and Brack! :)

Did you check out PJ's new duds? :) I guess it's official now!

Lisa, haven't packed a thing, lol. What new Duds???

Brandi, give Jake a hug and a big ol' ARGGGHHHH!!!!

Angie, sounds like a great time. A chance to just explore, someday we will do that kind of trip.

THANK YOU!!!! Those pics gave Jake the biggest smile ever!!!!!! They were perfect! pixiedust:

I ordered patches with designs from Ortopads. They have 5 designs - they are pretty cool.

He was okay when he got home tonight. He said that all the kids wanted to know about it, but they were nice to him. The girls all thought he was in pain and the boys all thought he got poked really hard in the eye. He told them "I have to cover my eye because it is really super strong and I have to let the other one get super strong too."

He has a good understanding....for a 5 year old. Thanks guys

Thanks again Brack - that was perfect.

So Parent Trap is Thursday. I wonder which one that is. :) We are packing up a quilt to wrap up in. Do you know if there are benches or do we need to bring chairs to the campfire & movie?

That looks so cool!!! :) Guess we don't need any chairs...and probably no quilt since it will be 79 on Thursday. :) :) :) :) I am so looking forward to the weather and since I am getting close to the 10 pound mark my capris should fit me a lot better.

Lisa, thanks for noticing my tags, lol. The first two were my creation, only now they are coloured (very pleased he/she kept them) the third is new. I missed them entirely, sigh....7 years then all of a sudden a flood. Wonder if it was my snazzy new avatar that got me noticed, hmmmmmm

Lisa, I think that close toed shoes and a sweater for after the sun goes down and we will be fine. I would love it to be the Haley Mills version, love that one.

I have only worn capris two days since we got to FL Jan 13. :sad2: It is supposed to get down to 21 degrees tonight. :scared: We turned the "arctic" system on (keeps the water and pipes in the RV from freezing) and unhooked the water outside.
