I found us at the bottom of page 3. :scared1: I even missed it the first time since I can no longer sort of the thread length to find us.

I hope everyone is doing well. Things here are going fairly well. Work has been crazy (I literally hate one of our business partners right now). Thank goodness in just a few weeks I am switching over to my new position. I can't wait! :woohoo:

We took the kids bowling earlier today and had a good time. Allie was interested for the first couple of rounds but then she got bored but I think she had a good time and she outscored her brother. Nathan enjoyed it but was very frustrated that he could not get a strike. He doesn't understand that he can't expect to do that right now at his age when he has only been bowling once before. DH did fairly well (157 I think) but his score was greatly helped by the bumpers. :lmao: Several of his strikes would have been gutter balls without them. I am by no means a great bowler but I scored a 205 today! I was so excited. I had knocked down every pin with a strike or a spare up until the 10th frame (even without the help of the bumpers ;)). I got a strike on my first ball in the 10th frame then I choked and only got 5 pins in the next two balls - including my first ball hitting the bumper. :sad2: Oh well I was just thrilled to score so high. I don't think I have ever even bowled over 150 before so it was a lot of fun. Where do I get my PBA card? ;)

Angie once got a strike in the next alley over. Her ball hit the gutter so hard that it jumped into the next lane, where it slowly rolled in for a strike.:rotfl2: :rotfl2: She was upset when we told her it didn't count. :rotfl2: After all, it was during leagues.

I once bowled an 89 during leagues, and they had to announce it over the overhead. Talk about embarrasing. :lmao: I made up for it on another night, with a 279. Now that my left knee is lame, I can't bowl anymore, unless I do the 'little kids' approach. :rotfl: :rotfl: Of course, that might be an improvement.

After more than 2 and a half years, Elizabeth's braces are off!!! I'll have to take a photo and share it... but she's off babysitting for the neighbors now.
Hannah and I put in 5 hours at Girl Scout cookie booths today... you can get quite a few buyers on a Saturday night at Lowe's (who knew!?) Oh, and Walt.... well, he's been working on his scissor skills; unfortunately, he has used them on his T-shirt, his sister's papers, etc.

Watch out for that first self haircut. Yikes.:scared1:

Oh my gosh. Long time no post or sign on for me and here I am looking for our thread. I guess a lot has happened in Jan to now.

I actually came to say Happy Birthday to Lisa.

Terrible week and weekend. I thought of you Kim. Strept, then rash, possible allergic reaction to antibiotics, worse rash, fast forward to today, my cat died at the vet in my arms, took Bella to the doctors again, new meds and I'm feeling beyond beaten with a wet noodle.

So I am going to come back here tomorrow and look at the pictures that Dennis posted dreaming of seeing all of you again and if I could click my heels together like Dorothy I would SO be booked on the Wonder so I can see the new Toy Store show.

Hi Carla,
:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: for you guys. Hope everything is good for you now. It has been 12 days since your post.

Dennis

Wow, I need to make a point of getting onto this thread more often, even if I miss the others. I don't get on the boards very often, but this one is special.

Thanks Brack, for the pictures. Did you ever find your CF card? That gave me the stomach shivers. I know how I feel when I lose pictures. AUGH !
Do you want me to try and make a cd (or 6) for you of some of my pics? I am trying to fit it into my "picture requests schedule". I think we have your address somewhere. I am just sorry I didn't send something sooner. I get a little stressed out about it sometimes. :scared1: :scared:

And Thank You for the Christmas CD. I forgot to say Thank You. Please forgive.

Angie says I need to get in the shower. We have to go do some errands. We may just buy a SMART car soon.

EVERYBODY........Love you all. You are family now.

.

I still believe that a strike is a stike, regardless of what lane it is on!! :rotfl: :lmao:

Nathan has you beat. He threw his ball into the next lanes' gutter and it stopped halfway down the gutter and was stuck. :lmao: How do you score that one? ;)

It looks like it has been quiet around here lately. I hope everyone is doing well. I have been busy at work but I have one more week in my current position and then I am a DBA officially. I started going to a few meetings and I was only mostly lost not totally lost so that is a good start. :rotfl: I have actually finished up all of my project so this next week is just to help with any issue that may come up. In the meantime I am reading IBM manuals and trying to learn something from them. :)

It never showed up so I am resolved to having lost it :sad1:

It will never happen again I can promise that! :headache: Thanks for the offer but I can't imagine what you could send.

Well, it has been busy here. I have redone my work hours so that I can help out in K's class in the morning when they do their reading testing...which they do need to read the books for BTW, Kim. ;) I spend about an hour there. The mom who used to spend ALL DAY LONG in the class started her job this week so she can't be there anymore. It is a good group of kids and when I am done with them I can just leave. :)

I am still managing to log in 70-80+ hours a week and work is going okay...I'm not letting it get to me...just type while sitting with the kids. K is going AG crazy after her teacher read her class the first Felicity book and then showed them the movie. I picked up the serious for her and Samantha from AG.com for $15 each last week on sale so now she sits next to me an reads to me. :)

Mike's promotion is now permanent since the year probation period is over with and he got the email today. :) :) :) :)

Hi all,
I'm finally checking in again. Here's a quick shot I grabbed of Elizabeth, without braces:

Hannah finished a science fair project about batteries & digital cameras; more of consumer science, since she was testing to see if alkaline, NiMH or the new NiOOH batteries were most economical. (The rechargeable NiMH won.)

No scissors and hair problems for Walt, so far. Hannah had a hair cutting incident, but luckily, she just chopped a small chunk in the back, so it blended in pretty well.

Please keep my brother in your thoughts and prayers (some of you may have met Mike on the cruise). He was in a car crash (some meth addict hit them; Mike was in the back--car service to the airport for a work trip). Anyway, Mike's bruised but OK, but the scan they took at the hospital to check for injuries showed a growth on his kidney, something he might not have discovered for quite some time otherwise. So, there's some surgery and recovery in his future.

DGS has enlisted DrHug and I to chaparone school dance tonight. DGS chose to organize a dance with Techno music for his Senior Project. (he said he and his friends do not like to go to the dances because they always play Hip Hop :confused3 ) Money earned will be donate to the band program. He has done a great job, got a very popular DJ from local radio station for only $200, got many donations from local businesses. Free printing for the tickets, etc. So, DrHug will take a few photos for DGSs presentation that he will have to put together after, I will sell cookies or water or man (woman) the auction table or whatever he needs me to do. He said we would just need to be prepared to listen to 3 hours of Techno music. I'm not sure what that means, but......:scared:
