12/09/06 Cruise Continued ~ Pirating Bananas DIS Geekorama Part 2

Hi everyone! We're tentatively booked on this sailing. I say tentatively because DH's family is supposed to have a family reunion June '06 which will be a cruise on RCCL...but they're so flakey that we decided to book this as the reunion might not happen....and we got a great, GREAT deal through Dreams Unlimited. We're booked for a Cat 9 GTY...I'm hoping for a cabin aft, near the elevators...we had 2608 in July and we loved the location.

I really want to take this cruise...two stops in Castaway Cay sounds wonderful. We sailed the Magic July 30th to Mexico and now we're hooked. So, it will be me (Lisa), DH-Mark and our two DS, Ryan and Drew, who will be 8 and 4 respectively at sail time. And yes, we're pulling Ryan out of school a week early and no, I don't feel guilty at all. When he first started school we thought we'd never do that, but he's never sick (so far) and has never missed a day of school, so I figure he deserves a reward...especially since the school doesn't even recognize he hasn't missed a day of school. Go figure.

Just wondering who is stress free in that department. I am only $14 away from it and that will come out of my next weeks check and I'll put $108 on ship board credit. Next week, gosh then I just have to save the pain tickets and our week at WDW- good thing I have a year to do that. Gotta go watch my step daughters tryout for fair royality. She did o.k. on her horse stuff today. tell next time.

Has anyone taken on a task of listing everyones name and age and kids and age at time of cruise all on one page. Mum of two

Are you talking about the 12/2006 cruise? No way! I will let that money build up interest before giving it to Disney to do that with it. LOL! I am getting ready to pay off our 12/2005 cruise next week. There is a yahoo group listed somewhere in this thead.

We have a while to go before we will have it paid off!! In fact I am still thinking of upgrading cabins if any group rates are still available.

It is a great feelign though isn't it??

We won't pay off until it's much closer. But being stress free and knowing next year's vacation is already paid for is a very good thing!

We booked our July '05 Magic cruise back in May '04 and it seemed like it was going to take forever to get here and before you knew it, our cruise was over!!! Hard to believe but what seems like so far away takes one minute to arrive and end! Boy, am I a downer or what?!

Have you guys been following the Panama thread? It's awesome and exciting to read!

We have been on one 4 night cruise with disney so this one should be twice the fun! I have been trying to figure out what to do in costa maya and cozumel. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hiya! My DD will be 4.5 so they will be in the Lab together, though I am hoping they will let her bump up to be with big brother (7.5). This week is her first week back at preschool and she is already bored with the 3 year old room because she has been playing with a 6 year old all summer.

I think there are the Tulum Ruins in Costa Maya that DH and I will check out. Not sure about anything else, though we are late enough in the year that we should have lots of feedback from earlier cruisers.

Glad to see you made it, sometimes my links don't always work. I will have a son 7 and one 9, so there is one more in the kids club, We will be staying at wdw for a week before hand at asm. Mum of two

And we have two boys...one will be a few months shy of 5 and another will be 8 1/2 at sailing time.

I have a feeling there will be more preschool aged children and younger as opposed to school aged children since this cruise is occuring while school is in session. I know we're pulling our older child out of school early and I think most schools will be having their winter break the week after or two weeks after our cruise.

It sounds like there will be a lot of kids in the same age group. That is great! I will be pulling my son out of school for two weeks, but I can't get vacation time when he is out of school. We are going to disney world the week before the cruise too! Right now we plan at staying at pop century, but my dh wants to stay at all-star sport again, so we might change our hotel. I just know all the football players and cheerleaders are there that week and it gets a bit loud. My daughter was 2.5yrs old last time we cruised and we had no problem getting her into the kids club so I am sure you will be able to move your daughter up, unless the rules change by then. I can't wait for trip reports to come out about this cruise. Thank you everyone for your replies that was really sweet.

I'm bouncing at the moment......I was looking at expedia and noticed that one of the secret porthole rooms had opened up.......

Of course we took it.....and it was only $72.00 more....
