Hey all--

Looks like everyone was busy over the weekend. Congrats Mark on getting 2400, looks like it was an easy shot. :)
Angie, we'll definately keep praying for all the families seperated because of military duties. It can't be easy to leave a new bride at home. :grouphug:

DD and I had the Girl Scout sleepover on Friday night, we came home about 11pm. DH and DS went to the Pink Panther movie. We had another swim meet on Saturday. DD had another great meet, DS did good also. Saturday night DH, DD, and I went to the Pink Panther. Obviously my DH liked it, we don't go to the movies that often and to see one twice in a row is unprecedented. Steve Martin is just a funny guy.

The kids get out of school early tomorrow and Thursday for parent/teacher conferences. NO SCHOOL FRIDAY!!!!! I think we're going to just hang out. We're finally having DD's birthday party for her friends on Saturday (no swimming this weekend :teeth: ), we're going back to the sledding hill with five of her bestest friends.

My kids can't wait until spring break, it the week of March 20. We go to Minneapolis the last weekend of break, DD is swimming in a regional swim meet. Does anyone have big plans over break?

Lisa G--Was this weekend the surprise weekend for your family?

Goodness! What a weekend! I just want to get the kids washed up & in bed. I would like to watch the skating tonight but IDK if I will be up at the end...even though I REALLY want to see the Americans skate since I know how they finish. ;) The train was 2 hours late picking us up on Friday but we made it up to the frozen North alright. The kids enjoyed seeing Daddy's place & we spent Saturday going thru the Space Museum & the Museum of Natural History. The kids are anxious to see more when we go back in April. The metro was an experience. LOL! Sunday night was the Disney on Ice show. The kids had no clue. :) :) :) I picked up the tickets in the arena and got in line with them & they still didn't know. ROFL! ;) I handed one to DS & told him to read it. They were smiling but still didn't know what was going on. When we got thru the gate & were surrounded by all the overpriced even by Disney standards princess stuff...then DD got excited. I told her that they were not getting a toy, then when we met back up with DH he had already told DS to pick something out. LOL! He now has a Prince Phillip sword w/ cover & DD has a light up musical wand. :) DS's first reaction to the Princess thing was "not a lame-o girl thing!" After the first number he leaned over to me & said how great it all was. Of course we have to keep this experience a secret from his friends who just don't "get it." ;) The house seems like a mess now with the luggage & all but it shouldn't take me too long to get it back on track tomorrow without the kids. They missed their toys so much over the weekend that they HAD to get reaquainted with them tonight. LOL!

Glad to hear the movie was good. We like Steve Martin too, but were wondering how it would be compared to the first Pink Panther. Us old folks remember Peter Sellers and he was so good. It is always hard to do a remake of a really good movie. Anyway, glad to hear it was good. We will have to go see it.

That's funny! I was even a bit teary at rehearsal! DH was too. We too love weddings and even with all he has photographed we never tire of seeing people make that wonderful committment. He does tire of photographing them though! It really is a lot of hard work! :scared:

Hi everyone

Just wanted to join the thread as my family ( 14 of us ) have just booked our dec 9th cruise. :woohoo: :woohoo:

Welcome Aboard Adams Family. You'll see my, DW MrsMork, on here more than me, but I want to welcome you just the same. Keep SMILING Autumn. This will be our 8th Disney Cruise, and our 8th cruise Period. If it 'ain't" Disney it isn't for us. LOL. I am already getting Butterflies.

Hey Mark, I was wondering just how much time do we have to wait???

THanks for the welcome!!
This cruise is so very special to us. Our first cruise was Oct 2004 through make a wish, and we promised Autumn that we would get her back on the magic before she gets too sick again. Thankfully my parents gave us our down payment so we could atleast get the trip booked now the rest is up to us. My brothers and their families then decided to book also along with my parents knowing that this will most likely be the last time we will be able to vacation together.

Magic is Heaven on Earth

Having done a few weddings (photographer and minister) the coordinator has to be a "Wedding Nazi" sometimes just so things go right. While it would be nice if they can be nice but their job is not to be nice but to make sure the results are nice. (a lot of nice there) I actually prefer a "Nazi" to one that just wants to be liked.

I'm glad the wedding was beautiful. I love a good wedding.

Brack, I too have done a lot of wedding photography, and only one ceremony. (will tell you about that next Dec. LOL. The bride of that one will be with us.) Anyway...This one was the worst co-ordinator I have ever seen. I know they sometimes have to be tough, but she was even telling me what photos to shoot. LOL. Last wedding Photog she had there wrote the Minister about her. LOL.
"No Pictures for YOU!!!!" (:rotfl: reminiscent of Seinfeld-Soup Nazi episode).
Did this in Digital. Was a little nervous about that, but is looking great. Looking forward to meeting you.

Still warm today. The brush fire doesn't seem as bad today. I think the evacuations have been lifted.

When we lived there we made sure we had plenty of marshmallows and weenies on hand. Lots of Chaparral. Whew! It has to burn or the seeds won't sprout, but now that there are so many houses it is a dangerous place to live. Especially during the Santa Anas. Make sure you hose down Disneyland.

Thank you everyone! It is going to be a busy day. After dropping the kids off at school and a quick run to Target I am meeting a friend for breakfast. Another friend is picking me up for lunch. We are all going to a neighbor's for dinner tonight. It looks like I am going to take it easy today. :)

Happy Belated Birthday Lisa. (sigh, late again.)

Oh - and I've started my initial planning for my door signs. We're going with some friends who have never been on a cruise and I'm hoping to make a sign for each day and secretly put it up on their door.....Disney magic!!!

That is so sweet. LOL. On the 10 day Dec. '04 we snuck little gifts into the little stockings on the door across the hall. What fun. We had to fess up on on the last morning as we were leaving the ship. The Mom saw us a asked if it was us. LOL. I loved it.

We've had several cases of meningeccocal (sp) mennigitis in this neck of the woods this year. Pretty scarry! We have had one teenager and 3 little ones die from it. 3 of them were in a town 14 miles from us. The others are scattered around. No area or connections that they can come up with.

Yep. If your kids have a fever and a purple rash, stiff neck..get 'em in to E.R. pronto. Don't take,"well it's just a virus....." for an answer. 2 hours can make a big difference.
