12/09/06 Cruise Continued ~ Pirating Bananas DIS Geekorama Part 2

You should like this show too. Enjoy! I have been flipping between skating & Survivor then Dancing with the Stars then Grey's Anatomy all night. Now the final skaters are on so even though I already know the results, I will watch just that. I enjoy watching a good program. Tonight DD told me that she wants to ice skate, then she said that she wants to watch the people ice skate. I can't wait until she finds out that she will be doing just that this weekend!

I took DS back to the doctor's today. It turns out that he was misdiagnosed again! I am so tired of this. He has been given amoxil twice in the last 2 months when he didn't need it. Our regular doctor saw him this afternoon & has put him on zithromax to try & knock this out. She said that it was something that could develope into pneumonia if let go. UGH! It starts with a "p". If he doesn't get better by next Friday I am taking him back & they will start tests. The first thing that she wants to check for is asthma. OY! Thank goodness he went to sleep easily tonight.

There's quite a bit of "walking Pneumonia in our area. I had it two weeks ago. Whew. I usually take sickness pretty well, but it knocked me down. Beiong a Geezer has nothing to do with it. Anyway, Zithromax works pretty well if it is anything like what I had. Seems to be resistant to Amoxicillin. I needeed a repeat of the ABX. A reaonable guess was Chlamydia Pneumoniae bacteria. (No, not the same as...) for those rolling their eyes. Did your DS have a headache too? Fever first day or so but then no fever? Tenacious Mucous? AND a BAD cough? Hope he is doing better by now. Prayers are with him.

That's funny! I was even a bit teary at rehearsal! DH was too. We too love weddings and even with all he has photographed we never tire of seeing people make that wonderful committment. He does tire of photographing them though! It really is a lot of hard work!

Me? Teary Eyed??? NAH !!!! I just had something in my eye. All the young troopers going overseas, and newly married. (Gulp) takes me back to Us. It IS very tough. How well I remember.....(sniff sniff).

That is so sweet. LOL. On the 10 day Dec. '04 we snuck little gifts into the little stockings on the door across the hall. What fun. We had to fess up on on the last morning as we were leaving the ship. The Mom saw us a asked if it was us. LOL. I loved it.

Yes, Angie already told us about that one. I have stockings for each DIS family. I'll be putting their name on the top & hang them from the fish (with the help of some other DIS elves.) We can just fill them up during the week with goodies instead of having to carry them around with us. That way, if someone's plans change & can't make it to a meet we wont have to hunt them down.

Well, to update on DS...the Zithromax kicked the cough's butt!

After just the first dose it seemed to cut it back considerably & by the second day he was down to maybe 20 coughs a day instead of one ever 10 seconds. His throat feels better once again!

Mark, I like your countdown better than mine, mine is at 291 days until the cruise but at 288 days for WDW. Still not time to make any ADRs or anything, just have to read the boards and wait for spring.

Glad you found us over here. What part of Wisconsin are you in? We went to the Dells a couple of years ago and had a great time. We also spent time in Green Bay, and Door County. I loved going to all the lighthouses. It was beautiful country.

Don't believe EVERYTHING he says! He actually gets way more computer time than I do. He just wastes it on unimportant stuff while I spend my time productively on the DIS board!

We do have 4 computers, but still have to use dial up so only one can be online at a time. Wish we could get something other than dial up, but not available at our house yet.
