We cruised on a full ship on 11/15/03 & one that was close to being full on 12/4/04.

I think this one will be full - especially since the two stops at CC...everyone seems to love that!

Now if we could get a really cool blanket as a CC member gift.....with double CC on it or something..... :wizard:

Haven't they done that in the past with the special cruises? I remember the ones that went to Antiqua did.

Lisa (lbgarves),

Since you have been on cruises in Dec before, could you tell me the temp in CC? Too cold for the water? I have been seeing others posting that it is cold in Dec. and that wouldn't be good with two stops there! :confused3

Caroline

The water was cold at CC but it didn't take long for us to get use to it & get in. The kids weren't bothered by it at all. It was much warmer on our 11/15/03 cruise...hot actually. Last year on the 12/4/04 is wasn't cool but there were some clouds so I think that helped to keep it from getting too hot. Once we got up Sunday morning it was warm/hot & sunny the entire week. It was chilly at the sail away in PC though. The year before we were fine in shorts & tshirts. We changed into jeans & grabbed our jackets when the luggage arrived for last year's cruise. We were suppose to meet at 3 pm at the Mickey pool but my kids couldn't stand the water...way too cold & windy. We ended up in JHalkias' stateroom with the kids playing hide & seek.

Hi Pyramid-

Thanks for putting that list together! I'm going to be 31 at the time of sailing, and my Dh is Mike. Our daughters are Dierdre (then 6), and Caroline (then 18 mos).

Thanks again!
Erin :)

Giving a little bump and trying out ticker!! :goodvibes

Today was DD's 7th Birthday :bday:
It seems strange that when we are on this cruise she will be 8!!
Hope everyone is doing good as we are having lots of needed rain!!

Caroline

WooHoo! Ticker works!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
:rotfl:

Thanks Mark for pointing me in the right direction for the ticker! :worship:

Lisa (lbgraves), everytime i see the picture of your daughter I think that it is you, not Cinderella!! :goodvibes

Pyramid - we have added DGS Aaron. He will be 7 at the time of the cruise.

Well, I'm having to reneg on this thread. DD and I had to cancel this cruise. My exhusband is complaining about me taking DD out of first grade for a week next year. But I've switched to a land/sea vacation on the Wonder in May (we leave the day that DD gets out of school). Enjoy your cruise everyone!

Sorry to hear that. I think we are going to have a great group on this cruise. I am positive that you will have a great time in May though.

Sorry to hear this. We always took our DS out of school for family vacations. They are important times. We always prearranged these with his school and teachers but never had any problems. He is 32yo now and seems to have survived the trauma very well (Masters Degree, good job, etc).

Enjoy your trip on the Wonder.

I've never cruised at off season, how full do y'all think this cruise will be? Just wondering!

Lisa :teeth:

I'm betting it will be full. Our four cruises in January and March were all full.

:crowded: agree with Brack. Especially with the double dip. :sunny: We are sailing Dec 10 of this year and there seems to be alot of staterooms available, still listing availability in all catagories, but this one in 2006 is a special itinerary so should be full. However, we have sailed with full ship before and the crowds are not bad. (except in Shutters and that makes me shutter to think about it! :rotfl: )

THERE YOU ARE!!!! I just knew there had to be a thread, but I couldn't find you guys!!

Don't laugh - here's my story....so I like so many others had my PBJ and water ready for weeks waiting for the 2007 rates to come out. I log on to several sites last week and try and try and try to get the 2007 ressies to pop up. I fill up my time by reading the disboards, trying to calm a very nervous tummy...will I or won't I get my ressie...

THEN, suddenly there is a post from someone saying they are just going in 2006 cause it is cheaper. So I casually check with Barb to find out what she can get me on in 2006 and not only does she find me a great rate for December 2006 BUT it is a double dip CC.

Unbelieveable!! So now I'm joining all you guys...I get to go one month earlier than plannned (my original desire was Jan 2007 to try to go during a cheaper month)....AND I'm actually saving about 1200!!! Go figure!!

So here we come!

ps - we cruised with PJPoohBear and her very nice mother back in Jan 2004. Very very nice family!!!! Hi Penny!

Gosh thanks!!

It is very cold up here today and I'm so looking forward to this cruise!
:cold: :cold:

Welcome aboard BuzzBoyMom! We *thought* we might switch to '07 or do both '06 and '07....ahem, until we saw the rates.....FORGET ABOUT IT!!!! '06 will more than likely be our last DCL cruise for a while, unless hubby gets a huge raise (not) or we come into a pile of money (unlikely). I'm pretty disappointed with DCL's rates. Anyway, I think this will be a great trip just the same! This is a good group.

Well, my 7 year old has a minimum day today so we're goin' to Disneyland! They even raised the annual passport rates by 20% since we bought ours in July...they're just jacking up the prices where ever they can!

Lisa :earboy2:

Thanks Lisa...what's a "minimum day". We don't have those in PA. Whatever it is, sounds great to be going to Disney! Hope you have a great time!
