My DH did ALOT of road work in Conshohocken. He had been going there all of the time.
They've been doing work on the "Blue Route" (476 from I-95 to Conshohocken/Plymouth Meeting) for quite awhile. Maybe I saw your DH!

Gosh Lisa I had no idea that schools lost money for children not in attendance...is that after a certain number of days or something.

Isn't that crazy?? I never knew that either until a few started talking about it. If a school has 500 kids and 30 are absent one day, it doesn't cost the school any less for that day. KWIM??

I always remember when this happens because we got married that weekend. It was nice to have an extra hour in the morning.

And at soccer practice the other week we were talking about the government changing the time change dates. I think in 2007 it goes to the first weekend in November.

Deal or No Deal was like that last night. The girl playing is from South Africa and she married an American. Her DH & a couple friends were supporting her. Later she said that she hoped to win at least 100000 to help her family in SA. At the end of the show Howie asked her what part of SA is was from because there were a couple people in the audience who were from SA. He had them stand up & they were her brothers! Howie then said that her mother was in SA because she just couldn't get away but they had some pictures of her. They showed a few pics of both of them together & then a shot of her mother dressed up. The picture ended up being a video and he told her to look to the right of the picture. The show had flown her entire family in to see her!!!! :thumbsup2

What a nice story!! But I am thinking they may be lacking in the woman watching or something to do this. I mean, they already have the eye candy for the men. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Finally sat down at the sewing machine last night to do some work on DD's costume.. and will get back to it and AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER very soon.

That is how they get their funding here. They get a certain amount per kid per day. If the kids are out...the school doesn't get that allotment for that day.

Crazy huh? I found this...

On August 8, 2005, President George W. Bush signed the Energy Policy Act of 2005. This Act changed the time change dates for Daylight Saving Time in the U.S. Beginning in 2007, DST will begin on the second Sunday of March and end the first Sunday of November. The Secretary of Energy will report the impact of this change to Congress. Congress retains the right to revert the Daylight Saving Time back to the 2005 time schedule once the Department of Energy study is complete.

It used to be:

Daylight Saving Time begins for most of the United States at 2:00 a.m. on the first Sunday of April. Time reverts to standard time at 2:00 a.m. on the last Sunday of October. In the U.S., each time zone switches at a different time.

Dina is supposed to be taking a nap. I have to be on here so she can't say she wants to play on the computer. The nerve! :teeth:

That is so cool!!!!

It is still pouring down rain. It is such a dreary day. I just sent the kids in for naps. Jake doesn't always take one anymore...but he has been crying and whining so I decided he needed one as well as the baby!
