One day I would love to see the leaves changing somewhere. Just once.

I so want to pack up and move. and this pool thing is driving me nuts. There is one paver on the step....an edge on that is cracked in half....I am not sure if the deck is settling? I know nothing about constuction....I think we may end up in court over this. Even the tiles around the edge of the pool - the grout is cracked. Is that supposed to happen? and so soon?

Well I just don't know....that couch is a family heirloom. My great-great Grandpa Goober gave it to us as a wedding present.

I had a teacher that almost derailed me as a sophmore in high school with that kind of crap. For a quarter that year I believed him until I did so badly in the class that I was sent back to repeat Algebra I. I spent the year bored as all get out because I knew Algebra I very well. Well I got my confidence back then and I went on to get my degree in math so I know I always had the ability. It is scary how much other's expections of us play into how we learn.

This is such a big subject with me. I tutored lots of students while in college (most of them girls) and they were all afraid of the subject. Most of the work was really just being a cheerleader to make them believe that they too could learn algebra/trig/calculus, etc.. They really didn't need help with the actual mechanics of solving an equation, plotting a graph, etc.. I always said if I won the lottery really big some day I wanted to start a foundation whose purpose was to really encourage girls in the math and sciences to try to counter some of the stereotypes about women in math and science.

You are probably sorry you said something now, huh?

For the most part, I try not to treat Sophia any differently than I did Alex (stuff like Dance is the exception). That is why we watch stuff like Mythbusters, and anything else on the Discovery Channel together that we can. I cultivated a love of Math and Science in Alex, and plan to do the same for Sophia. I love the arts, but also LOVE science and math. I hope she does well in that respect, and I think girls are starting to pass up boys in a lot of these areas now that the strereotypes are breaking down.

Not sorry someone said something Becka, just sorry you haven't won the lottery yet.

Gotta go the boys are in a fight, first real one ever. Bloody lip, broke a window this morning along with the delta thing this morning. I think they can go to the sitters and I for a drink. Oh here goes a bloody nose to the mix. Whats next? This is the first time ever they have done this.

Ughh - I have to stop looking at homes for sale! I just want to move!! I love our area but it's so expensive and really a retirement area. I am sad the couple is moving. They are only going to the end of the cul de sac but still....I am sure our house looking a mess with the yard is not going to help them.

Oh well. They just did their driveway (pavers) I would love to do it matching in ours...we are on a corner and our driveway circles from their street to ours and are directly in line (think anal accountant thinking).....ours is regular ole cement but would look nice with their matching pattern!

This game is getting interesting.

DH is trying to tade me someone. I need a RB....since I only have one to play this week. He is promising all kinds of stuff!
