Catching up (as if that's possible with this chatty group!)...

Mickey - prayers and positive thoughts going out to your family!

Pictures - our school does 2x/year.

Fundraisers -- we just turned in Entertainment books yesterday, book fair is going on right now, and fall festival (basket raffle, etc) is on Friday night.

Folders - we get once a week folders... I think on Monday... and then we get homework folders separately. They contain homework and notes from the teacher. My son's teacher is awesome -- she does a Monday newsletter with what she's teaching for the week, highlights the students that have improved or excelled in the last week, has a wish list up in case parents can donate items, and reminders for important dates, etc. I  her because she has great communication skills and really understands children as individuals... unlike his 1st grade teacher last year!

Joy, his teacher sounds awesome! I haven't had a teacher like that since oldest DD was in kindergarden!

Total Est. Time: 41 hours, 20 minutes Total Est. Distance: 2786.14 miles

Although we LOVE roadtrips, I think not this weekend. :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Does that mean we are 11 hours from each other? Wow, that seems short....

From my dd(6)

1. 6
2. Disney Soundtracks
3. She and I did not understand the question.
Kim, Thanks! We have almost enough to go on with. Question #3 is something like. Do you Love  listening to music (10). Or hate it? (0) It's an odd kind of question but I guess they need some kind of data for charting.

Night John!

NJ schools are also funded by property taxes. We are lucky and get the budget passed every year without much problem, but the super is always VERY nervous because we have a high retirement community.

Do any of you guys ever try to do laundry on the ship (we try not to). The laundry rooms can be like trying to break into an enemy bunker. The most I try to do is iron, and lately we send our clothes to be pressed on the ship instead of fighting over the one of the few ironing boards.

Anyway, I was really wondering how much purple Downy will now be on the ship, or purple Tide with purple Downy in it.

John1

Not going to happen. No way! I am not on vacation if I have to do laundry or cook. I have sent it out when DD had accidents....

Ok, Patsy. I guess she needs the other end of the spectrum too.

1) 1-2 in the car, depending on where I have to go and who is with me.

2) top 40 70's,80's and 90's

3) 6

If I needed to do laundry I think I would send it out too. I would be too afraid that I would forget it and never get it back! :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

We are hiring some part-time workers - mostly students, but a few adults who may only want to work a few hours a day during the week.

Maybe all of you filled out applications for the motley crew that came in today so that I could waste a perfectly good afternoon.

One was a 49 year old guy who told me he told his mom and dad before he left that he hopes he gets the job. 49 and still living with mom and dad. What does that tell you?

John1

John, I have met him. Maybe his twin? The other employees love to here what his mom is making him for dinner. The single mom's just shake thier heads.... Maybe he is multiplying?

That is probably about right. We are about 8 hours from the Idaho/Oregon border.

Of course my brother is 41, and my folks live with him . . .

But, he does have a job!

Different situaion if the roles are reversed and the parents are being helped by the child.

Wel, DH should be home soon so I will be hitting the hay. Maybe I can get to sleep before he gets home!! ;)

Did anyone notice I got post #31111 a while ago?

Do I get anything for that?

Is the 10,000 club like the "mile high club"? (I think Todd will know)

Oh well, DINNER!

You can now go back to your regularly scheduled posting.

John1

I seriously do not get the mile high club. First, my DD and I can barely fit in the restroom and seriously the seats are so close together is that really possible without public indecency?

I almost forgot to tell everyone....when we go to Disney in June the HS marching band will be going the same week!!!! We are SO excited! I give private lessons to several of the kids. There is a girl from my church and my cousin are all in the band!

We were going anyway to celebrate my mom's 50th but this just makes it even better!

My DH and the kids and I will be going. My DM and DDad will be getting an adjoining room with us. My aunt Pam and her GF Carol and Carol's niece will be going. My Aunt Cheryl and her DH will be going (Her DD is the one in the band). Our (DH and I) good friends will be going with their DD's. I am so excited!!! It will be a great time!!!!
