Mickey - prayers and positive thoughts going out to your family!
Pictures - our school does 2x/year.
Fundraisers -- we just turned in Entertainment books yesterday, book fair is going on right now, and fall festival (basket raffle, etc) is on Friday night.
Folders - we get once a week folders... I think on Monday... and then we get homework folders separately. They contain homework and notes from the teacher. My son's teacher is awesome -- she does a Monday newsletter with what she's teaching for the week, highlights the students that have improved or excelled in the last week, has a wish list up in case parents can donate items, and reminders for important dates, etc. Iher because she has great communication skills and really understands children as individuals... unlike his 1st grade teacher last year!

Jhalkias said:Do any of you guys ever try to do laundry on the ship (we try not to). The laundry rooms can be like trying to break into an enemy bunker. The most I try to do is iron, and lately we send our clothes to be pressed on the ship instead of fighting over the one of the few ironing boards.
Anyway, I was really wondering how much purple Downy will now be on the ship, or purple Tide with purple Downy in it.

Jhalkias said:We are hiring some part-time workers - mostly students, but a few adults who may only want to work a few hours a day during the week.
Maybe all of you filled out applications for the motley crew that came in today so that I could waste a perfectly good afternoon.
One was a 49 year old guy who told me he told his mom and dad before he left that he hopes he gets the job. 49 and still living with mom and dad. What does that tell you?

That is probably about right. We are about 8 hours from the Idaho/Oregon border.kimerinc said:Does that mean we are 11 hours from each other? Wow, that seems short....
Jhalkias said:Of course my brother is 41, and my folks live with him . . .
But, he does have a job!

Do I get anything for that?
Is the 10,000 club like the "mile high club"? (I think Todd will know)
Oh well, DINNER!
You can now go back to your regularly scheduled posting.
