JODIE WEDDING PLAN - in white write...so Jodie won't see it...

Why don't we all wear our green bandanas, green t shirts, green bracelets and make a long line at the terminal where we throw rice over Jodie as she walks into the terminal!!!

Thanks for the responders to my last post. I am married and have two little girls - Dani, the six year old and Emily, a 3 year old. I'm an RN in an ER and very much in need of a vacation. This Disney cruise is my first cruise. I'm also very much a novice at computers. I have never chatted before online. So, I'm looking forward to getting to know you Disney experts.

One of the things I'm hoping to have time for while on the cruise is sitting on a lounger and reading a good book. Any recommendations?

I think Angie and Dennis have the perfect spot for that..... Angie?

I probably missed discussion about this about several hundred pages ago....

Regarding Cozumel -- is it "safe" to rent a car and drive around the island on your own? I keep imagining horror stories of getting stranded or jumped by rebels (okay so it's not Columbia or anything but I have a vivid imagination).

Whatever we do, I'd like something kid friendly because I'd rather take the kids than stray too far from the ship with them onboard.

Too bad the dates for '08 aren't out yet. Maybe they'll be out by our cruise, and we can discuss. I know we can't all make it for December as several have said so . . . I would change times of year to have fun with this group!

Some of us have been together before, Angie, Lisa, V, and us . . .

Do the rest of you guys think of this as kind of a weird "blind date"?

Who knows - when we meet in person, you may really want to run for the hills!

Doubt it.... Too tolerant a group i.e. earrings. Although I must tell you I had a friend break her finger because her ring got caught on the homecoming decorations and then she fell off the step stool. YOWY!! So I basically think all jewelry is a health hazard :rotfl2:

Hello All! I have been trying to catch up and will be at it here for the next half hour, I have a teen meeting at 6:00PM with 22 teenagers..wish me luck :rotfl:

Paul will home this weekend, salmon fishing is over for him :guilty: Our planning kit was due to the wedding coordinatior two weeks ago, we, well, lets just say I, becuase we know everytime I ask for his opinion, he isn't really listening anyways, am having a touch time with the music selection. The rest is taken care of, this is the only part that is hanging me up. So, hopefully we will tackle that, oh, I mean, I will be tackeling that this weekend :rotfl:

My shower is in two weekends and I can't wait! We are having mexican food with Mickey and Minnie. Mexican food is my favorite and so is M&M :thumbsup2 Well, off to catch up!!!!!

Jodie - WE CAN HELP!!!! Do you have Mambo #6 down for your wedding dance?

And as for that shower....are ya serving some margaritas???? I know I need some? My shower invitation hasn't arrived yet...did ya forget to mail those out along with that wedding planning kit? That's okay - I forgive ya! Just post the directions and I'll use mapquest.

So are we wearing green for Jodie's shower too?

Me too....I love to read!!!

I have a silly thought. I usually buy a book for the plane, read it and give it to the person sitting next to me. Wanna book swap on the cruise if you finish what you are reading. I will have 4 or 5 with me? I promise to throw the really bad ones away. YOu know, the ones where you are just praying for it to end because it is so boring? I have to finish books, its a thing.

On your own...or with 100 of your closest friends?!!

Seriously - I know what you mean...I often worry about that. My theory is that I want to tour the island and head back to the ship with PLENTY of time whenever we have rented jeeps on our own in the past. YA never know what could happen.

Now as for Cozumel - I personally think it is safe. I haven't been in a few years so unless something has changed...I would go.

We are on late dining, which we will probably keep. We are in the Mountain Time Zone, so it won't be too bad. Our girls are night owls if they are allowed to be, so I think they will handle it okay. Which dining schedule are you on?

WAIT A MINUTE.. You are in the mountain time zone? So am I and I have a 6 year old girl. We are also on late seating. What state are you in? I am in UT

We currently live in Idaho Falls, Idaho. We moved from Las Vegas last summer. We needed to get out of the city!

who's gonna turn the lights out on this thread on Friday night/Saturday morning?

Or is anyone planning on "live" posts?

I want to be far away from computers!!

28 days until we leave for the World! I am slowly starting to get excited about it. I better get our costumes together!

Once we are on the ship - no more posting for me - I can talk to all of you . . .why would I need to post?

Okay - I know you'll hit 29 tonight, but I won't be there...so early congrats to whomever!!!!!

By the way - does anyone have the stats on who hit all the big ones?

Thanks Caroline. We don't really work together, different buildings...same general location. But now I'm really embarrassed...b/c my highest level supervisor heard about it and went after this guys highest level supervisor telling him if he ever sent someone down to her office and upset one of her managers they would have it out. Yikes. Didn't mean to start a war! Or didn't even want the word out that this guy made me cry b/c that makes it look like he got the better of me or that I felt I was wrong for something I did...which I don't feel that way.

okay - lunchtime...come on lunchtime...need a margarita!

Sorry Karen for your yucky morning! Smile, tomorrow is Friday :sunny: :sunny:
Why do women cry more? I was upsent on Monday and was crying also at the office. Paul gets mad at me too and tells me not to let anyone see me upset...but how can you help it?
Eat something good for dinner tonight, forget about the day, and relax ;)

okay - i can share this with you guys....

I just had a jerk come into my office...not one of my workers but some othere office. Anway - he caught an attitude..we went back and forth...bottom line...I realy had to put him in his place...not very fun...but when he left I was fuming....then another lady in my office came in and said she heard all that and thought I needed a hug. I was fine till she came in and then I started crying. I HATE WHEN I CRY IN THE OFFICE. DH gets down right ANGRY at me if I cry in the office. So all you other DH don't need to comment here!!! I know it is that femaile thing...but geesh!!! And then I get more mad at myself for crying so the whole thing becomes this downward spiral.

Anyway - YUCK! Just had to get it off my chest....I keep checking to see how red my eyes are. I think it will be Margaritas for lunch today!

:sad2: :sad2:

I totally understand. I like to have a pity party for myself when that happens and I usually indulge myself with fattening food. I am a classic emotional eater. You could however, spend an hour on the DIS for your pity party.

We need to be sure Jodie won't trip or slip, remember she has a trick ankle. Banana peel alert over. We could twirl the bandana's Bball game style.

There was a report on the Today show that wild turkeys attacked cars in Cleveland, OH until a woman got out of her car and ran them off.

Ohhhhhh . . .

50 miles up the road . . .

Got to get Sophia to ballet.

Happy Birthday Elizabeth!

See you later!
