DGS just told me that Cookie Monster died! Well, not Cookie Monster himself, but the guy who did his voice. We really like Cookie Monster at our house.

Just caught up. Girls had piano and viola lessons tonight, so I Tivo'd Dancing with the Stars and watched it at 9:30 instead.

Now for my bid for the worst mom in the world award...
At back to school night last week, DD8's teacher gave each of us a large yellow star. We were to take it home, think about what makes our child special, come up with 5 special traits and write them in each point of the star. Then add the child's photo in the middle; decorate if you're crafty. The teacher is putting them up in the room so your child can see it if she needs a lift.... and we were to hand it in by Monday the 25th. And I totally forgot to do it. DD saw me looking at it tonight and said "I was wondering why I didn't have a star on the door!"

Yikes. I'm now crafting a colorful, glittery star for my creative, smart, energetic, happy, fun daughter!!

Don't forget to add "patient" and "understanding". I know mine is.

well, this morning is not starting so great. I am still at home. Can't find the keys. I think they are in the Explorer. I NEVER lock it, but DH used it last night and now it's locked and the last time I remember getting the keys out is when we got home and I set them next to Haley's car seat to get her out......

so now I sit and am waiting for John to come home and unlock it to see if they are in fact in there. Can't tell by looking in the window......I hope I can make it in by 9am!

DD was pretty impressed with her star when she saw it this morning. She's excited to take it in this morning and have her teacher add it to the wall!

Oh, and Brandi, remember our "annoying metronome" conversation? Last night her teacher said DD8 is really improving in that area, so on we go with the evil metronome!

Sorry about the missing keys, V. One morning I had to call AAA for an emergency unlock because my keys were missing and I thought that I had locked them in the car (same thing, sure I had dropped them by the car seat the night before). But they weren't in the car either. Found them 30 minutes later when DD (about 2 at the time) showed me they were in the van for her dollhouse people. Guess she thought dollhouse mom needed some keys.

I make my private students use it as well. It generally helps them...unless they are extremely stubborn!!!!! I dread the day when I have to listen to my own kids practice with the tick tick tick in the background!

Loved the movie Rent, but have not seen the stage play as of yet. I have in the past loved the play better, as I spent all five years of HS in the theatre company.

Movies over two hours, great value for the money, but my bladder can not take that time and I frequently have to leave for the bathroom, sometimes several times, lol.

We rented Rent. DH wants to take DD when it comes to Atlanta. But I'm thinking maybe when she's 30, or at least after she's made her own "life choices".

DH and I keep three sets of keys between us. He has a key ring. I have and everyday keyring. And, I have a spare keyring of keys to places I hardly ever go and and extra set of keys to the car.

So DD was scheduled for surgery to have her aednoids out and DH went to warm up the car. Do you see where this is going? Later he called up to me, "Patsy where are your keys?" "In my purse." "Where is your Purse?" "In the Tote bag" It was already loaded in the car. "Where are your spare keys?"

Oops! AAA gave us priority placement that day.

Now we have a fourth set of keys hanging in the cupbord.

Here's a tip. When we got the PT it was the first Ignition key we had with the chip in it to run the car. So when I went down to Ace hardware to get two spare keys made for my keyring and the cupboard they were unable to make new keys. But then I remembered, these are just lockout keys anyway. I had them make the keys on blanks. The two spare keys can't run the car but I can get in if there is an emergency. That still won't help if a cutie pie DD puts the keys in her dollhouse van but it's a start.
