One more thing on the hotel. I figured "What the hey" it's only one night, how about Hard Rock? Not at $500 per night. I could almost bring a guest for DD on the cruise for that.
 I had no idea that the rates are Hard Rock were so high!!!!! You won't get to enjoy it anyway. You will arrive in the middle of the night. Get up and start you day on the MAGIC@@@@ :cool1: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

We've been lost in Orlando before looking for a hotel at rush hour. Talk about a wrong way to start the vacation.

Did you know that Sheraton Vistana and Vistana Villages are two different properties?

I didn't know that...but I never gave it a thought before either! :rotfl:

We had a nightmare driving home from Disney. The only time we ever drove. It should take about 17 hours...that is what it took to get there. We left on christmas day. We spent the week in Disney (our bad trip---everyone had the stomach bug and Jake was sick for 4 days...I was the only one to escape it.) Anyway, we had a ROUGH week. We had one magical night...New Year's Eve...in the Magic Kingdom.

We did not get to our room until about 2:30AM. Jake fell asleep at about 3:30 AM. We got up in the morning and left for home. IT TOOK 23 HOURS!!!! :sad2:  We drove straight through. We were stuck in Orlando traffic for a long time. It took us over an hour just to get through Orlando! We were stuck in college bowl game traffic from 2 different games!!! WHAT A NIGHTMARE!

I was begging my DH to stop...I was so tired! He wouldn't stop. We made it home alive...but we have flown ever since!

Brandi, that's just awful! IKWYM about the Orlando traffic. You almost need to add an hour to 1 1/2 onto the trip once you hit the city limits.

I'm so glad you made it back in one piece.

Lisa - do you need a crown for being a book selling queen!!!! I hope you are having a fun week at school! :thumbsup2

:rotfl: :rotfl: Patsy - I was just thinking about your "PATSY" bathroom at work. I had another laugh!!! :lmao: :rotfl2:

There's a woman here for training today and she's caused quite a "stink".

Jake and I made a paper chain for our count down to Disney. I used Disney print scrapbook paper. He keeps saying...that is so so so long!!!

Let's just say I don't think she noticed the Oust on the shelf.

Anyhow another woman just showed up, she's a consultant writing a manual for us. I might actually have to knock before entering. Oh, and I'd better go stow my "you know whats" (Sorry John1).

Well...you have fun!

I am a city girl so I thought maybe one of you would be more familiar with this subject. Someone here at work is selling a 1/4 Beef for $400. I don't know much about this other than you are buying the meat from a quarter of a cow. Moo! :teeth:

I e-mailed her to ask what this included and I got back the following:

We had a 1,400 pound steer slaughtered, hanging it weighed 975 pounds, so each 1/4 was about 243 pounds. You will still have some waste but not a whole lot. We had them mix the 1/4's, so that various roasts that are normally only on the hind end, would be put into each quarter. We have 4 bags with each quarter, one bag is about 45 pound packages of hamburger. From there, the remaining bags are roasts and steaks, we had the roasts packaged into 3 pound roasts, steaks were packed 3/4 inch thick, 2 per package. This was a large animal and was fed out for the meat, the other steer my son raised was only 20 pounds heavier, so it went to the youth livestock auction. I can look at the list tonight and let you know exactly how many each steak/roast, etc. I know there are numerous of each kind. The t-bones are huge.

I am thinking that $400 sounds like a pretty good deal for all of that meat. Has anyone else done anything like this? How much freezer room would you expect this to take?

Wow That sounds like a lot! IDK any more than you. Moo!
