nevermind........

OK 2nd thought..... a Norrington Lutenent (forgive sp John) jacket looks easier than the full commodor one.

If you look at the picks it doesnt have to be perfect ....cause that is drunk Norrington ...much more Piratey then regular stiff norington ..

Jodie - I did have a wedding question for you. I thought I read somewhere that when you get married on DCL you actually have the "official" wedding in the terminal and then just the "fun" wedding on the ship, CC, etc.. Something about the legal one having to take place before you get on the ship so you are technically married the entire cruise. Is that true?

You are technically married for the entire cruise, all the legal stuff has to be taken care of ahead of time. I believe that we say our vows on the ship for the first time, it's only the paperwork that is taked care of in the terminal, this is what I understand it to be......

I thought that Norrington was the guy who proposed to Elizabeth? That doesn't look anything like him. :confused3

Yep Lisa, that is him. I just watched part of PotC 1 to confirm.

Good Afternoon Everyone!

My neighboor fosters dogs until they are adopted. She came over with the cutest beagle, about 15 pounds and full grown. She was soooo cute. I figured that there might be a chance for us to have three dogs, until baxter decided to play not so nice, she didn't hurt the little dog, but I think that was here way of saying...."NO more dogs, mom!" :rotfl:

I purchased a new duvet cover from IKEA today, it was only $30.00 for the cover and the two pillow shams   I am soooo happy :cloud9: It's like a whole new bedroom now!

Thats been the extent to my day. Paul is still not home from fishing yet, he was supposed to be home at 2, but that's ok, I didn't get to any yard work, I figured he could do it tomorrow :thumbsup2 I did get the house cleaned though!

No pirate outfit for this chick yet. I have no clue where to start. I am planning on celebrating Pauls birthday that night, pirate night, his birthday is actually on Thursday, but with the wedding, I figured he should still have a day for just his celebration, he is turning 30. What do you guys think, is it mean not to celebrate it on Thursday?

I think you should ask Paul. Pirate party day and the day before the wedding might be too distracting to make "special" day for him. He might get more attention celebrating his birthday on Friday or the following Thursday on your Honeymoon.

Personally I hid under the covers and hoped nobody would notice my 30th. Now I just keep celebrating it over and over again.

I haven't caught up from last night so someone may have answered this but just in case:

With the Digital Rebel (and most DSLR cameras) you can change the ISO settings. This is like putting faster speed film in the camera. The default setting is 100. The Rebel can go as high as 1600. The pictures have a bit more noise (grain for film) in them but for the most part the pictures turn out nice. It helps to hold the camera steady. In the theater brace your arm on the arm rest of the seat in front of you.

DH went crazy last month and bought a couple image stablizer lenses for his Rebel. He's not too good at keeping his hand steady while taking pictures. Of course now he looks like the paparazzi when he's out taking pictures. :rotfl:

Both kids are in bed - finally! Those two were driving me crazy this afternoon. I don't know what got into them.

I just purchased my trip insurance! :yay: Another thing I can check off my list! :)

No big plans tonight. Dinner with DH, watch Amazing Race and Desperate Housewives. Hopefully it will be a quiet evening.

I have to take my car in tomorrow morning to the shop to get it fixed from when I was in that accident back in May. It should be a two day job so I will have to pick up a rental after I drop the car off. Hopefully this will all go smoothly.

Hey magicbride2B, I have a beagle for sale if you want another one. He's very cute, but seems to be in a bit of a chewing phase. You know what they say though, the more the merrier!

Those of you that can book reservations up to 75 days in advance - I think tomorrow is the day!

Hi everyone! We have been at an Ice Skating competition for DD this weekend and just got home. Good News!! She won!!! First place!! What a rush. I can see why parents like this whole competitive thing. I, however, do not think I can take this kind of stress. She is way more composed than I am.

I am going to catch up now...

Welcome Disneyjamie!

I am also going to assume that you are Jodie's sister because with only 2 weddings per cruise it would be a big coincidence for us to have connections to both weddings! ;)

Congrats to Savannah!!! :yay:

Becka, I think it was the whole Beagle for sale that tip me off, lol. Then I looked at his/her trip list. At first I wonder how a browser found that post on our thread.

Happy Birthday, PJ! :bday::bday::cake::cake::cake::bday::bday::cake:

I may be among the last to send the greeting - but remember - it is 24 hours long!! So keep celebrating!!! (My lil' DB's birthday was yesterday - he is on the Wonder 11 day to celebrate - got to steer the pirate ship - what a way to celebrate a birthday!!)

I thought maybe she was on the wrong thread at first so I checked out her signatures and saw where she was on this cruise and the sister of a bride. Didn't take me too long to figure it out from there.... ;)

Jodie, you are going to have to decide how you are going to share the date with your anniversary and his birthday. You may as well start now. ;) Celebrating one the day before & one the day of and then alternating would be one way to do it. In the future maybe you could plan something for the first half of the day & the other celebration for the rest of the day. :confused3 DH's birthday is Christmas day and we always make a point to have some birthday time for him after dinner. :)

Not me! I couldn't wait to turn 30! My 20s were so difficult that I figured the 30s had to be better. Little did I know that I would be engaged on my 30th birthday and pick out the ring with DH2B that afternoon. My 30s have been amazing...and that doesn't even make it sound good enough. I married the love of my life, we have two beautiful children who I love more than anything in this world (even when they challenge me ;)), and we have watched them grow and learn. :cloud9: My 40s are right around the corner and I am looking forward to another wonderful decade.
