Good luck with the wedding, Brandi! This is good timing. I bet that DD will be going to sleep better when you get back.

I know it is hard to do. We actually were not able to do that with DS because of a medical condition. The doctor told us that we had to put him to sleep on his tummy so that he would breathe better. Imagine reading everything about that being bad & then being told to do it.

At first I put him on me in bed & had pillows on either side of me to keep my arms around him. He would squeak like a rusty gate when he slept. When we watch video of him now I am reminded how bad it was. We got use to it. I would close his door & ours so that it wouldn't keep me awake at night.

Of course if the squeaking stopped, I would wake up terrified. He outgrew it around 2 years and we had to get use to the silence.
