Today, after lunch... The cases this morning ran long..(contraversial)

They come back from lunch at 12:35 and then there's two cases in front of mine and then me. (mine's a smaller case so it should get approved on that basis only since they're running behind)

Have you read a book called the "no cry sleep solution"? I have it from the library but haven't read it yet. It's supposed to be pretty helpful.

Is that the baby not crying or the parent? My book would be called "Earplugs- my friends."

I'm just trying to keep it humorous Brandi..... My DD was up alot the first two weeks but always slept through the night after that.

It wasn't all roses because once she was transitioned to a day bed (ie could climb out of crib; so side had to be removed.) We would have to stay with her until she fell asleep (sometime i would fall asleep first ) or she would get up and play in her room.

Abby also was very needy the first couple weeks. (needy as far as puppies go) We were sleeping on the floor next to her cage.

Oh I know all about the staying up and playing. DH and I are thinking of stripping the girls room bare of any toys/books and moving all that out to the playroom.....Samantha will not go to sleep. It's frustrating.

Ok I am set with all party tickets now. Since we are going to MNSSHP on 10/26, it is also a discounted night. I am SHOCKED!! Usually we pay full price for that one!! And I renewed my dining card...yippee!!

So Lisa mentioned a book her DS was reading...and I thought I'd share with you all a book that I started recently. It is called "Character is Destiny" by John McCain. Its about stories that every adult should know and every child should hear. I highly recommend it so far. Anyone else read it?

Vanessa, glad you can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel on the pool issue. I'll take your experience into account if we think about getting one next year.

DH went back to work today, but he had to take the van since his truck is already there. I wasn't going anywhere any way. I was sitting for my friend while she was at the doctor. We actually have nowhere that we have to go today, although the fridge is empty.

I just want to pay for our hotels before we go and add money to the shipboard account but other than that I think we are good!!

Caroline...the entire problem with the pool was mainly the paver deck. Had we had a "regular" deck it would have been fine. There are only 3 paver plants in Florida. My uncle is a forman at one and my my mother used to be the regional HR director...I know a bit about pavers -- these were a lot of seconds and they tried to pass them off. Which with me would have been fine if they priced it accordingly as well as let us know.

Oh well, live and learn!

My best friend who moved to San Diego is waiting for her stuff to arrive so they can officially move in. She told me about a friend of hers who lives in Cape Cod, the last place they lived. This friend of hers has a teenage boy who got his lisence a little bit ago. She has always been worried and didn't let him drive much. Apparently, he was driving with 3 friends in the car around the base. They were down the street from home (on the actual street that my friend used to live) when some of the boys had the bright idea to "ride" the bumper. One of them fell of, cracked his head and died. They couldn't have been going too fast as it is a residential area and the roads are a bit curvey. My friends feels extremely guilty that she can't be there for her friend, as her son is in shock from it all. I can't imagine being any of those parents right now.
