Hey there Angie! Why aren't you at the park yet? :) Glad to read that yesterday went so nicely.

Disney can become a passing fancy or an obsession - lol. It sounds like your family has worked out a great compromise of interests.

Well, the issue is that I fall into a little of both. I am a great Disney follower, my office at work has (counting...) 25 different lithograph or other Disney art-related portraits on the walls, I read books about Disney architecture, etc, etc. I just can't get excited about those "ressie' things and its gets to be too much sometimes. I usually put in my basic disney trip needs, a trip to Liberty Tree, a character meal (gotta go Princesses on that one.. :bitelip: ), some down time included, and a restriction on the go-go-go attitude I get from DW puckerup:...

I always enjoy the cruise; I prefer crusies over the park trips....its a vacation and if you have to spend 24/7 12 months planning for a 7 days trip, the fun is gone.

Bottom line : The boat moves, the drinks flow, the dinner is served, the sun is out, the DH is happy... :goodvibes

Okay quick question , can I reserve tickets for an excursion for others that are not listed on our reservation ????

OK now we're PIF

but interesting thing i noticed on the DCL website Lisa.... Since we're all linked for dining...when you go to the section of your ressie to do payment authorization... i could link any of you to my credit cards :scared1:

No, you can just reserve up to the number of people in your room.

I was wondering when someone would see that. :) You must not be booked thru a TA. I don't have the payment option screen so can't see it. Can you send me a copy of who is listed so that I can make sure they are all there?

Also, everyone will show for kid's club pick up. Only the ones you authorize will be activated. If you don't check it, it wont affect you. :)

OK!!! I just saw it but not everyone is listed. I wonder when the rest will show up? :)

But Palo I can make for more then the people in room ..correct ?

Lisa does the list show you that we are paid in Full ???

pirate:

No, you can only reserve for Palo up to the number of people in your room...including the kids for some reason. We are able to book for 4 people.

Also, noone ever shows PIF on the website if they booked thru a TA. That would make life alot easier.

nope, booked direct with DCL... None of the TA's were able to beat our advance pricing and the BOB credit. (book-on-board)

We did TA the first time and i've got to admit...i like to have control over contact with DCL. One trip we were on points (DVC) and dcl wouldn't talk to me and at the time DVC were very rude about my request.

I ended up sending e-mails to anyone who'd listen and DCL finally responded to me directly though.

So this trip i knew i wanted to book myself on cash, not points.

so what if you want to do a party of 6 but only four in your room ??? Well actually only 2 in a room but we have two rooms ...trying to set up a dinner at Palo just for the siblings and other halfs which would be 6 - but they cant do any ressies till the 25th since this is there first time on DCL

Make your resie for 4 people and add 2 more to it when you board. :)

Here's a question for you repeat 7-day cruisers.....

Has anyone ever brought say two cases of water with them, do you just give it to the porters when you get there (labeled with room # of course) and does it count towards your checked luggage?

I am big on drinking water and filtered just tastes off sometimes. (i'm not big on being limited to fountain drinks all week either.)
If i'm drinking then DD and DH drink it too so i thinking one case won't be enough for the week.

Now I get get my reservation to come up at all on dcl.com! Yikes!

Maybe when they "serviced" my reservation - they deleted me!!!

We put them in the rolling cooler but you might be able to tip the porter to take it to your room themselves. You could also just place an order and have it shipped to the ship. I think that I have read of people buying water at staples.com & doing this for the parks.
