True, true. Maybe THAT is where it came from! Calling it the Jersey shore. When we say the shore, it refers to coming to the resort area by the water. If someone is actually going to the beach, they do say beach.

Well, I found out on Friday that my eyes have gotten worse in two years. Before our 2004 cruise I got bifocals (the blended kind) when I started to have trouble reading. I made the mistake of taking them with me. I never put them on ONCE on the whole vacation (no time to read) and when we got home they were missing. They were only a 1.0 prescription, but I had gotten used to them. Since I paid $200 after insurance, I was too cheap to get new ones - I liked the ones I had so much.

I now ordered new ones and my prescription is now up to 1.5. My distance vision is almost 20/20, but reading without glasses is getting harder and harder. I did buy a cheap set of "cheaters" just for reading the last two years.

Getting old does have it's drawbacks . . .
