Since it is raining in NY tonight they are showing the Agassi match from last night again. I actually fell asleep during the 3rd set so now I can watch the rest of it. :)

I am so happy that Agassi won!!!! :yay:

I checked in chat and it didn't look like any 12/9'ers were there. Is everyone just busy or away for the evening?

Tomorrow for lunch will just be sandwiches and chips. Nothing fancy. For dinner we are going to grill shrimp and corn on the cob. Yummy! :)

Sunday I tihnk I am going to make nachos for lunch and then for dinner we will go out. I was thinking either Lone Star Steakhouse or Chevy's. Can't decide..... :)

My sister called me earlier today (A shocker in itself) to tell me that she just got word that she passed the bar exam. Soon we will now officially have a lawyer in the family. I can't decide if that is good or bad..... :scratchin

DD has been kind of crabby the last two days. She is not acting quite like herself. I am afraid she is getting sick. I hate to have her get sick right when my parents get here. They only see the kids a few times a year and I am sure they will be somewhat disappointed if she sleeps all weekend.

what do I really need to bring to deal with the bathroom odor?

One of those plug in room fresheners? or something to hang in the toilet - is that permissible? like sani-flush?

I'm bringing one of those plug ins with a night light. :thumbsup2

Lisa made it to Baltimore ok. She said they had very smooth flights! :thumbsup2 She wanted me to tell everyone what she did BEFORE she left.

She left her wallet on the kitchen table! :faint:
They did let her get on the plane after a thorough search. :goodvibes

Glad to hear she arrived safe and sound. :)

Just checked out CNN.com and while I know this is a serious topic I could not help but :lmao: at the headline!

John Heads for Resorts; 10,000 to Evacuate

I had this mental image of John1 headed to WDW and thousands of people fleeing the resorts. :lmao:

I LOVE it - the headline, not the reality. If I could get that to happen maybe the lines would be shorter.

pixiedust: Sending some pixie dust that she won't get sick. Start pumping her up with chewable vitamins and ibuprofen if she ends up with a fever. Sometimes getting a quick jump on it if she is coming down with something may help it not get too severe.

my dd and ds started school on 8/23. my ds got strep over the weekend. I didn't know that strep could actually be a skin infection also. LOL he got that first, infantago (sp), before it went to the throat. DS missed the mon to weds of the second week. on top of that, DH decided to throw his back out yesterday. OW there goes Labor Day Weekend plans of painting the bedroom and finishing the floors in the living room and hallway. I ended up taking him to the Dr's today and the Dr was very specific "no labor over your labor day vaction". OW at least we don't have mulitiple soccer games this weekend.

John1 is missing tonight. Wonder if he got banished to the Safehouse? :happytv:

I'm back - had to take a night off for a football game on Thursday night, then had to write a speech . . . I was up until midnight doing that. Then another football game tonight. Just got home - guess I might want to check chat to see if anyone is over there.

I am not on the boards as much as a lot of you but I will try to help get to the 20,000. It doesn't sound like many people will be home this weekend. DH, DD, DS & I have to go into the office to set up a new computer. one of my wonderful coworker's computer blew the power supply this weekend and fryed her mother board. luckily CompUSA had a great pre labor day sale today. I ended up getting a presario computer for 299.99 and a 26 HDTV for 499.99. my office is a nonprofit so all the sales help.

I hope everyone has a wonderful labor day weekend.

John1 is Ohio, the big guy that scares little kids into being good with "the look'. :lmao: :lmao: ;)

That would be me . . . Been to Cincy several times BTW . . .

I always dread "back to school" because it always means getting sick!! I started getting real strict with remember to give my kids their daily vitamin and DS's claritin this last week.

I don't think we will make it by monday night. We need either a big chat starting or more people.

But let's give it a good try. We are heading for a hotel for one night to swim, back to school shop and movie watch. Hubby is a way for 2 weeks so this is our labor day vacation ;) We used our Marriott points.

DH grew up using "coke" and I grew up with "soda." Now we're both specific (diet Coke, dr Pepper, etc). Never heard of liquor store for the corner market. Now where we live, the kids stop at Wawa (ours is a small older one on a corner)! (For those not in this part of the east, Wawa is a chain of 7-11 type markets).

In Ohio the liquor store is a state run alcohol joint. But I have to say when I was younger we used to walk down to the a little stor called the Beer and Wine shoppe to get candy and gum. We loved that place. It was dark and filled with bottles!!

I have wanted to ask this question for a long time. Is it just me, or does anyone else go back and change spelling mistakes after they post?? :confused3 :teeth:

Yes, I do it too, usually when I tupe too fast . . .

Wow - I'm surprised with all this heightened security that they would let Lisa into the airport without the picture ID.

ugh.
