tynkerbell - I have been studying and studying and have narrowed it down to several choices but now DH has objections.

I'm going to book the Romance package. Then we get the Rainforest for the week. A facial if the blotch report doesn't scare me off.

Defintely Palo for dinner and brunch.

For whatever reason Mr. Adventure (hubby) is not interested in parasailing - why can the kids do it at the Contemp. but not on the cruise? He also is opposed to the stingray adventure because he had a tussle with a stingray while diving.

So, the Kohunlich ruins in Costa Maya - my Blue Guide to Mexico recommends these. Maybe a catamaran sail in Cozumel - the kids love the snorkelling - or we might rent a car - anyone doing this?

Are there any scuba divers - Cozumel is supposed to be a great dive destination? Hubby would like to dive but there is not enough time to do 2 tours I don't think.

Then on Castaway we may just hang out and bicycle and snorkle from the beach, unless I can talk hubby into the stingray thing for the kids. We are torn between the fun kids club activities and just hanging out together as a family.

Is there any rock climbing on board or at CC?

A few answers Elaine . . .

A bunch of us (you will have to ask Todd how many) are comissioning a jeep armada around the island of Cozumel in search of fresh bananas and coconuts . . .

I have heard the snorkeling at Coz is awesome too, and a friend (not Todd - someone from work) just retuned and said it was awesome. Todd can also probably fill you in on that as he is practically a native.

No rock climbing anywhere on the ship or CC.

No rock climbing on DCL. I don't think I would care for rock climbing anyway but I wish they had mini-golf. :)

Just Close I guess . . .

Todd needs that "Academy Award" Smiley, and he needs to thank Becka and me . . .

I called the school today to find out if we are AM or PM. They won't tell me - letters are supposed to go out on Mon. She said we should get it by the middle of next week.
How are people who need child care supposed to make arrangements - so nuts.

I'm trying to lie low and not get all ballistic about it since I can't change it. Don't want to ruin my chances to be class mother. ;) Now I have to choose which twin to be class mother for.... ugh.

Yeah, I don't think the rock climbing would work for me either . . . Can you find one of those smileys with the rock wall pulling free and falling over on the climber? That would be me.

John1

native Todd? would you mind if hubby posts a question to you or sends you an personal message to ask about diving? I think we should stick together as a family and just do the catamaran thing but he is still holding out hope for a dive.

When it comes to Coz or Diving ask away ...

For all you kindergarten folks . . .

Kindergarten is not mandated full day in Ohio except in the inner cities. So the state does not support or pay for most districts to have it. Our district did it by tuition the last two years, and Sophia was in that class . . .

This year, we are doing it on our own (the district - I am a school board member) and the state does not help. The kids will spend 1/2 the day with the teacher, and 1/2 the day with a teacher's aide.

Our enrollment is soaring due to the all-day option - of course at NO tuition this year.

Elaine - I hope your twins are in the same class . . . they wouldn't do that to you would they?

John1

I must be very conservative because my kids are in bed by 8:30pm usually, except in summer when they stay up until 9 or 9:30pm. I guess I will have the cranky kids - you won't offend if you move your table seating to get away from us - LOL.

We don't feel DD is ready to go to the theater so we take turns taking DS to movies he wants to see. I wanted to go see Cars with him so I got to go and DH still has not seen it. I am sure we will get it as soon as it comes out on DVD and I am hoping it is on the Magic in the theater so DS and DH can see it then together. :)

Cars comes out on DVD right before DS's birthday 11/14. :) We have seen it twice in the theater...once at the base on the HUGE screen...and it is great for someone who loves NASCAR. All of the things that they have in it that are spoofs of real people or what they do/say were hysterical. :lmao:

oh I requested that they be separated. I think it will be much better for them. They are very different and deserve the chance to shine on their own. (or fall on their butt)
We have 4 sets of twins out of 60 K students - that's a lot. I don't want them to be known as the twins - very bad for the ego.

we'll see how it goes this year - I could always change back for 1st but I can't imagine I will want to. They already compete.
