I always forget that Catholic curches have first communion when the kids are pretty young. Our kids do confirmation and then get their first communion when they finish 8th grade.lbgraves said:Well, I found out today that we are going to have a hassle with CCD. They have changed the time for the class so the kids can't attend most of Mass before going over to class. Now class starts at 10, ends at 11:15, next Mass is at 11:30 and we get out at 12:30. I am going to be dealing with two cranky & hungry kids in a Church filled with other cranky & hungry kids. OY BOY! Someone I saw today was called by the Pastor & told that if they continue to send their son out during the 9:45 mass this year, he will not be allowed to receive his First Communion. ACK!!! I just can't figure out how we are going to get around this any other way. When DH isn't home it is going to be SO not fun.
