Do any of you know what the 1/2 body massage covers? I've never had a massage before so I'm just curious what they do on a half body one. :confused3

I use butter and I use one tablespoon of vinegar in place of one of the tablespoons of water. That makes the crust flaky, which is a good thing for crusts but not for people. That was a trip my MIL taught me.

Angie,

Are you and I going to do this milestone together. I am hanging it out, but then I have to fold laundry. I think my family is just taking towels out of the closet and throwing them in the laundry basket...

Not enough! I am assuming the would just do your back and not legs shoulders and arms.... Go for the whole thing, if you have not had a massage before it may take you a sec to relax....

It would be your back, neck, head. Upper body just not your legs and feet. I can't stand it. If half of me gets massaged the other half SCREAMS until it gets massaged too. :goodvibes

Yeah, my concern is whether getting a massage is even worth it for me. I don't relax too easily... I have a touch of social anxiety so just the thought of a stranger massaging me makes me nervous but I'm always told I should give it a try. That's why I'm thinking maybe starting off with the half body might not be as bad, since it's shorter and all.

I booked a massage for DH. We wanted to do a couples one but I'm kind of chicken about the whole massage thing.

I love them! I do not get them at home though because I don't have enough time, I can't relax because I have too much to do and I don't want to have someone I know and have to talk to.

DH never relaxes in fact until recently his body produced adrenline 24/7 so he cannot relax. This is actually one of the only ways we can get him into "vacation mode". He will only have girl massage therapists, but he LOVES them! It really helps him chill out. Normally he is not a person to do this, but if you want a good start to a vacation, this is a good way to relax early on...

The woman i go to for massages was in a car accident and I haven't been able to get one for over a month! I usually go every two weeks for 1 hour, and I am dying! She has been off work and thought she would be back September 11, but John said she called and now it looks like it will be later. I have had several migraines and I need a MASSAGE!!

I have been going to Joyce for ohhhhhh, 3 years. She has a full time job and does masages as a secondary job out of her home. Very relaxing and nice.

John thinks I am crazy and that my body is not missing the massages but I think my body is reacting to not getting the ususal treatment.

I hope when I get older that children love me like that. What an experience!

I teach a class of sunday school kids who are 6 and 7. Today we dressed up like biblical heros. It was so fun! I love kids. They don't gossip, they tell you up front if they don't like your dress and if they are hungry, they just say it!

They are very, very professional and do everything they can to make you feel comfortable. Try the half body. You will strip to the waist, lay face down and cover with a sheet before the therapist comes in. If you let her know this is your first time and you are a bit uncomfortable I am sure she will work with that and you, like us, will become a massage addict. :goodvibes

I too was very worried about going for massages. I have suffered from anxiety attacks for almost 18 years and don't like going into new situations or meeting new people, (unless it's on the dis boards!). I went to get a massage on the recommendation of a friend and it was the best thing I have ever done!!

Oh yeah and you know what else, After 20 years of massages I still leave my undies on. I don't feel comfortable being totally nude and no one has ever given me any grief...

Well that's another fear... What if it feels so great that I just can't get enough. ;)
