::yes::

DS has a May birthday so we would get him age appropriate stuff at Christmas and then as he got older he would get stuff for older kids he was not ready for at Christmas for his birthday. Well DD was born 1/24 so within a month span not a lot changes. We don't usually buy a lot of toys for the kids thoughout the year but we really spoil them at Christmas and on their birthdays. I felt like I need to buy her birthday presents in January that she will not ready for until the summer.
It also works out for my son...BDay in May. But DD....she will be difficult. Christmas and then a BD on January 4~!!!! That doesn't give me much time to think of something for her! Not only us but the whole darn family....it will be overwhelming!

May 24th is a great anniversary!! :) I love that it always falls around Memorial Day so we have a three day weekend. My birthday is the same way with Labor Day. :)

Becka, get out, mine is the same way. When is your birthday?

When she was at home I lived on the ship. Our first place together was called Robin Hood apartments and was near the Norfolk airport. (read right in the flight path!). It was a dump but it was ours!

OMG!!! You aren't going to believe this but I am pretty sure that is where we lived until they bought a house off Little Creek in 69! It still looks like a dump in that area. ;) Were you there when they opened the new airport? I remember walking thru the chainlink fence to go up the steps to the planes. :rotfl:

Is Norfolk near Virginia Beach? My DH's Dad was Navy and his parents were stationed there when DH was born. I think he was born at Portsmouth Naval Hospital or something like that.

Yup! They border each other. :) That's where DH lived when I met him.

Belle2000....you are on the list. :)

Unless my DW gets really excited about going a shore then I'll probably spend the day taking pictures of DrHug makings friends. Also, it's a good time for some character meets. One of my favorite pictures is with Captain Mickey during the day in port on deck 10.

That is a fabulous photo of you both!

I am not an exhibitionist but my goodness....if I am on a boat in the middle of the ocean....then I will feel free to change in front of the window~!!!!!! If there really is some man out there then he will get an eyefull!!!! Maybe it will scare  him and he won't be lurking outside of someone else's window!

A lot people think of their room as havens even in port. The last cruise we were on; a ship was across from us and I was just looking at the ship until I saw more than I wanted to! :earseek: :earseek:

Ok, so I had a tough day at the office, then I had to drive Sophia and my MIL halfway to Toledo after that. Come home, take out the trash, walk the dog, and get to sit down to see what my dear friends have been up to today, and I get to THIS?

You people are sick, sick, sick . . . :rotfl2:

Thank God Sophia wasn't home to see her daddy as the "Big Banana"!

Now I have to wonder, the time and effort this must have taken . . . I think this is really a sign of a deeper problem. I will think about this . . .

Too, too, funny! :lmao:

I love my MIL  She is a great lady!

My DW has often said that her mother loves me better than her own daughter. She went with us on our last cruise and we had a great time.
:grouphug:
I love my MIL...she is flighty but I do love her! My DH adores my mom and dad. Now we just need to straighten out my FIL!!!!! :rotfl:

ROFLMAO!!!!! Too bad you didn't get to it first, eh? :lmao: You talk to yourself when left on the boards alone late at night. Caroline works in photoshop. :lmao:

Yes.

My DS was born at the Portsmouth Naval Hospital almost one year after we were married (short by three days).

Have I missed any recent discussions on parasailing? Is anyone planning to do this on CC? Is it best to try to get the first time available. I wondered with 2 CCs stops whether it would be easier to obtain? I have been wanting to do this for two years.

DH and I are going to parasail. Probably the 9:30 slot on the first day if it's available. I want to do it early.

It's just going to be me. DH thinks I'm nuts and DD is too young.

OK, coordinate with Caroline & Patsy. You wont be on your own. :)
