I am still online even thought I finally have some work to do here. I shudder to think what will happen to the board while I am driving home and getting groceries.

What are you afraid you might miss something? :rotfl2:

I actually woke up to go to the bathroom last night around 4 AM and the thought actually went through my mind that I should get up and check in here. Thankfully sanity set in quickly after that but I thought about it long enought that I am pretty sure I have a problem. Does anyone have a number for the DIS Cult-Anonymous? :teeth:

I loved Guides, and I am thinking about volunteering to be a leader, but as I don't have a DD, it might look kind of odd :~. Most leaders up here are DM's of troop members.

Pj

PJ,

With all your talents :artist: and such I think you'd be a great leader... You could always start out as an assistant leader (think of it as helping a mom who's already a leader). Being w/o kids you'd have more time to plan activities and such.

My DD has been in GS. Going into her 9th year. Some leaders have been real doozies and then there's the one that ran off with the checking account and never gave the girls their badges they earned.

Yes,
Go on the cruise already!
That's the only cure I need! :Pinkbounc

Hi Everyone...let me introduce myself. My name is Karen and my family will be joining you all on this cruise. After the 5000 posts that you guys have posted since I've been on here (at least it feels that way!!!!) I figured I should reintroduce myself.

I have 3 words for you all - Oh My Gosh!!!! At this rate...I won't make it to the cruise b/c I'll still be catching up on the posts!!!!

:surfweb:

Hi Karen!
We still have to figure out if I went to high school with your friend who is going on the cruise!

My husband thinks I should spend as much time talking to him as I do to you.

:confused3

My DW says the same thing. What are they thinking?:confused3

Karen!!! They left something for you this morning...but you weren't here.

John, I have always wondered what my attorney does during his free time. I understand now... :rotfl2: Amy, you are a good wife.

Elizabeth, Welcome! Send your info to Lisa, but I have a few questions.

1. Do you or does any member of your family have red hair?
2. Does anyone in your family have a BA in Journalism?
3. Does your husband think you have joined a cult or are you hiding this from him?
4. Will any male in your family wear lime green or a Tiara?

Just a few questions that seem to link many of these people together.

Kim

I know this is from ... oh....about 60 pages ago (!!!) but these are making me LOL!!!! First I laughed at all John's little talking to himself....John - the men in white are coming...don't worry. Then I see Kim trying to get Elizbeth up to speed with us.

Oh - we are going to have so much fun on the cruise...if anyone from the ship reads this thread, they are probably all dreading this week!!! :rotfl:

DD's school is offering Band and Orchestra next year and this is her only real chance to be a beginner in public school.

I'm trying to convince her to try it and she can back out later if she hates it. But, If she changes her mind later and wants to start, it will be too late.

I won't be able to afford private lessons to catch her up because I will probably be saving for another Disney Cruise.

Call your local Salvation Army church. There's one just off of North Druid Hills. They have a big band program for the church with some very talented musicians. It's all brass (British history and all that). Be prepared for her to fall in love with whole thing though.

Brandi has been working on a Powerpoint presentation (i.e. she knows what she is doing) so maybe we can put her in charge of giving a "catch up" DIS Cult seminar via Powerpoint in the terminal before we board. Then everyone could catch up! :lmao:

Well, I have a job interview in Valdosta tomorrow. Valdosta is on the GA/FLA border. I will drive from Snellville, down and back all in one day.

OY!

This job had better be worth it.

One big perk that I can see already is that it is much closer to WDW!

WHOA!!!! We could have our own trivia contest onboard based on posts in this thread. :lmao:

I took a peek at the 8/19 DD cruise thread. Trust me....we are not crazy...yet. They passed 9000 posts this morning & have been singing "977 posts on the board 977 posts....." At least we are still carrying on conversations. ;)

I know just the place you are talking about! My Dad grew up in the Druid Hills area and was principal of Druid Hills HS for a while.

I probably would have majored in music if it was not for the fact that I was concerned I would never get a job.

My DS got his degree in music but has never earned a dollar in music. He has been an internal auditor, a graphics artist and is now working with computerized accounting. He did go back and get a Masters in Business Administration.

I think this group running out of things to say to one another (or just to ourselves in John's case) would surely be one of the signs that the end of the world was upon us! :lmao:

Admit it - don't you feel sorry for the 8/19 group? Only a few weeks until their cruise and they are out of things to say! :teeth:

I was also in the theatre group in HS, but I was props and wardrobe mistress, I like to make stuff, lol. My favourite was the rip-a-way jeans for the Greased Lighthing scene in Grease, lol.

Pj

I was in A/V so I did all the sound and lights for the drama groups. I still do sound, lights and video for our events in the Army.

Finally caught up from this morning. Going to change clothes before DW comes home. See you all later.

Okay - update - I'm now on page 550 and if john and Becka's posts are any indication....I have this picture....

December 9 (or December 8, if you are me)....40 adults wearing green t's standing around talking to themselves. Mumbling about b-dazzlers and wondering where their tiara, I mean husbands, are.

I know - it's been many pages so many of this might not mean much to you guys now.....but go back to page 550....I'm actually having a blast!!

Karen, I love when people catch up and find things just as funny as we did. Proves we're all in the same sad mental state. And that's a good thing!
