I'm always cheap when it comes to lodging. The way I see it is I'm only in the room to sleep, it doesn't have to be real nice. And the money I save on the room is money I get to spend on souvenirs. :teeth: Although we did splurge on a verandah room with the cruise. I think late nights out there will be nice. :cloud9:
That will be nice!!!! Our last 2 cruises we stayed in an inside cabin. THis one we splurged on a porthole! We are sort of park comandos. We leave in the morning and don't come back until we want to sleep. Therefore we don't spend the extra on nice rooms.

We got to experience a verandah last cruise courtesy of DCL. Now I know that I don't miss one. We just didn't use it very much. We aren't ones to stay in the room very much...we are always out onboard. I was glad that I made DD sit outside with me on Sunday afternoon to do our nails. That was fun & DD spotted a rainbow. :) That was the most time that we used it though. I think that DH went out there in the morning to watch the ship dock since we were just a few staterooms down from the outer portside bridge extension that they are on when they dock on that side. Oh...DS & I went out there quickly when we were leaving CC to wave at the CMs with the gloves on with our own gloves. :) IDK...the cat 4 was over 3000 more than the cat 8 that we booked...and that was a splurge for us since the 10 we had the following week cost the same as the 8 that week. That's a whole other cruise for us!

Oh I lied! I'll be 32, my brain is going already!
Well, it changes every year. I have a hard time keeping up too.

I'm with you, I just asked my TA about upping to a 6 and it was $900 - I am still shocked the prices are the same (even a little less) butI think I'll keep my moula!

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: It has gotten to the point that I have to think what year it is and then do the math from my birthyear to figure out my age! :rotfl: Luckily the math is easy since the year is 1950. :rolleyes1 DH is then 5 years older and that math is easy too. :sad2:

Yep, inside for us. No time to stay in the room except to sleep and shower. :woohoo: :dance3: I think it might be different if we had little ones that need to nap.

Um, there is another one of those lovely can I wear flip flops and shorts on formal night threads, Ms. Lisa has already been on, but every time I see those I think "uh oh, you are going to get in trouble".... I feel bad for the poor soul who starts it having no idea.....

Kim

You have time to actually read the main DCL board??? :confused3 :rotfl:

Roman Brady - boy he gets around - only the long time people know that though. I do the same thing and saw that one and thought - how strange

actor who played Chris Kositchek now plays Roman Brady
the original Roman Brady returned as Alex North

That was quite a hoot huh?? :lmao:

I'm sorry, but I am posting as I am reading again! :confused3 :teeth:

And trying to watch a little BB before I hit the kitchen!

I just received word about new CC gifts!!!!

New?!?! Is this just for the DD or everyone? (Probably answered in later posts!) :rotfl:

Congrats on 2,500 Angie!!!

It sounds like a lot of us are around the same age. I will be 31 in exactly one month :sad1: and DH will be 32 4 days after the end of the cruise. I can't quite figure out how we got to be in our 30's. I swear I was 23 just a few days ago! :sad2:

I would love a verandah but I just can't afford it. However we loved our Cat 9 and I can't imagine an inside room while our kids are little. Due to naps, etc.. we did actually spend time inside and the porthold was so nice. I figure we will always book Cat 9 unless we get a really good deal sometime.
