Another shot for the night from our quick visit ....

..... and yes Annette took the picture. :woohoo:

Hey, Brack! Dennis wants to know what you are doing with his girlfriend??;)

good news to share!

My FIL is getting married......

My mil passed away Jan of 2006 so its been a rough year or so and she was sick for about 6 months before she passed (rapid progressing cancer).

We met (the girlfriend) 3 weeks ago when he came to down to visit and they were just so cute together and my Fil seemed so much happier and well different then i've seen him from the whole time dh and i have been together.

She seems real nice and would be a good travelling companion now that he's about to retire. (He's in his late 50's and has been a contractor his whole life and his body is getting a little worn in places.)

Anyway, their wedding is the 28th of July and we'll be up in Pennsyltucky.

Would Sunday the 29th of July work for anyone for a Knoebels meet?

(i know Brandi would have church but you live real close anyway)

Maybe we could call and get them to hold a couple tables at one of the pavillions. (They don't charge for that.)

As of right now I do not have plans on the 29th. As for church...well...let's just say I don't "have" to be there.

I am still the president of SS and still a SS teacher...shortly after I went back to work I decided that I did not want to be the choir director any longer. I was never ever home at night. It was too hard on the kids...me too. I gave my notice in Feb. and I stopped doing it on May 31st. They stop for the summer...but they still do not have a director for next year. I am not worried about it. That is in God's hands. I just know that I can't do it with working full time and giving private lessons.

I can't believe that I have been out all evening and I am still the last one to post...wow! I hope you guys are all having a great Friday!

I'm here! Hi, Brandi! I'm watching baseball, College World Series. Carolina is trailing, but it's only the 4th inning.

Wow!!! I did miss alot! When did you start working and what are you doing?

:goodvibes I started working on 5/18. I do dictation for a company online. It can be frustrating at times but I have already worked my way up to the first scheduling group (meaning that when they add up the hours worked in the past 28 days and subtract the 7 days with the fewest hours I am in the top 10% of the typists as far as hours worked). I have been getting all of the standby hours that I can for the past few weeks. Being in the first group means that I have the opportunity to get almost as many primary hours as I want. :) I have been working 65-87 hours per week to reach this point. I need around 215 hours total to be in the first group. Anyhow, I have been very happy with what I have been able to earn in the past few weeks with SB work (you only get the overflow of jobs when the primary typists can't keep up with the workflow. There is around a one hour turn around to the client from the time they sumbit the dictation. I can't wait to see what I can do as a primary typist 45+ hours per week along with the additional SB hours. :) :) :) They even pay idle pay when you are primary and there is no work to be done. You don't get that as a SB typist.

It has been nice because I can work around the house, cook dinner, spend time with the kids when I don't have a job as SB since the work is sometimes an hour or more inbetween jobs. The kids and Mike are going to have to adjust when I got to the primary spots next week.

I need to get a laptop so that I can work in the kitchen or dining room. It will also let the other get on the computer when I am working...which seems to be all the time. ;) I've made enough in the past two weeks alone to get one! I am just waiting for a good deal of course.

Good for you Brandi!!!! Doesn't it feel good to say no? :goodvibes

Devon had her first semi-formal dance last night...

Here's some pics.

Here's the group of friends that went to Glory Days for dinner beforehand.
Dd is to the far left in the black dress.

That is cool! Did you have to do any special training to be qualified to do this job? It sounds like a good way to make a little extra money from home.

Great Pic of Devon! That dress looks familiar! ;) :goodvibes

ahh the memories...That's right...it was your favorite dress... TWIN MOMENT

(hey we did get our $34 worth out of it; it'd still work for xmas or my DFil's wedding too)

i would have bought DD another dress if she wanted it but she actually was the one to point out that she already had a dress and it sounded like the dresses her friends were planning on wearing too. BONUS.

John, here is the thing about the freak flag.

Well, that link does not go anywhere, but as for me . . . I am . . . going to . . .

LET MY GEEK FLAG FLY!

Got my Macbook back today . . . it was the battery . . . no charge, and a new battery!

(Get it, "no Charge")

Tomorrow we start our annual VBS. We are doing SonForce Kids. Is anyone else doing a VBS program?
