Not yet but you are only about 10 posts away. In the old days 10 posts was very easy. Just started posting! :surfweb:

Hey. I finally did it, but I don't remember which post was the 1000th. RATS!!! :confused3 Oh well. I couldn't even enjoy my very own milestone. :lmao: :lmao:

Dennis this is the day we were in the coffee shop. I have a good picture of Angie but the picture I took of you is blurred because the camera focused on the branch of the Christmas tree beside you. :confused3

Grat picture Brack. I think the picture of me was focused on the right place. :lmao: I think these new cameras are smarter than we think.:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Spanokopita . . .

Anyway, I looked for the answer to your question online Angie (I had an idea, but wanted to see what they said). Lots of different answers . . .

I think my gut idea was the most plausible. You party, you drink, you get raucous, you start breaking plates! A mythology has grown up around the custom, and according to sources online it is now banned in Greece because too many people were getting hurt.

The restaurant that used to do it here locally had fake "plates" that were unglazed cheap plaster plates they would use for this. I have to admit, the one time I did it, it was fun, and seemed like the "right" thing to do!

Yeah, that's it....Spankopita. I liked it. Good stuff. I like spinach anyway.

Kinda looks like a smashed green road apple, but it was so GOOOOOOOD!

:rotfl:

DS's first communion went very well this morning. He has been so happy all day. :) I will get the pictures downloaded tomorrow. It is my turn to be sick. My throat burns and I have been coughing a lot. :( DH got me some dayquil & nightquil so I am about to take some & driff off to dream land. That stuff seems to get rid of some of the worse cold/throat problems.

Glad the Communion went well. Not glad that you are getting sick. Soothherbs brand zinc/echinacea throat lozenges are thge best, if you can use them right as you start feeling the sore throat. They have kept me working on days that my throat starts getting a little raw. 3 lozenges is all it takes. 1 every 2 hours or so.

Well, I better get busy and get ready for the annual Brunch with the Bunch. Gotta get ready for a bunch of hugs. That means a shower and some foo foo. :lmao: And a shave, of course. The kids don't like it when I "whisker" them. And it is such a fun thing to do too. :rotfl:

 and:grouphug:

Some Foo Foo? Angie, translation?

Loved the mother post Dr. Hug!

Happy Mother's day to all of you Mom's out there.

The following are answers given by school-age children to these
questions about moms :

Who's the boss at your house?

1. Mom doesn't want to be boss, but she has to because dads such a
goofball.

:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: They talked to our kids!! :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl:

LOL! Thanks for the laughs this morning, Dennis! :) I found out today that I got the transcription job! The pedal should be here in a week and then I can start working. Work drops off in the summer and picks back up in the fall...which is great for me.

Foo Foo = smelly stuff, after shave. :)

Hate that stuff - you know I do not own ANY after shave OR cologne. Most of it makes me sneeze like crazy. The few times that Amy has bought me some, it would go "stale" before I even used 1/2 of it.

Dennis is very picky about his. You have to not be able to smell it unless you are right next to his cheek. Subtle. Jovan used to make one that was called Andron - it was yummy, made you want to hug him.

I spent the day otuside - mowing, edging, weeding, powerwashed the deck, furniture and the house, and then played some frisbee with Alex while the dog chased.

After that, had to go and pick up Sophia halfway to Toledo (we had a nice cookout for the three of us before that) and just got home. I'm bushed!

Watching the GS/Utah game.

When I compare watching this series to the Cavs/Nets series, it's like I am not even watching the same sport. These two teams RUN so much! Exciting Basketball.

Hve to tell you Kim, Carlos Boozer is not a fav around here. He stabbed the Cavs in the back when they could have locked him in for much less money. He went back on his word to go to Utah for even more $$$. He gets BOOOED every time he comes here now.

Just like the old days! :lmao:

Let's see if you can get the next big milestone before in the morning. :surfweb:

Nah, I think it's a bit late Brack. I don't feel like staying up much later . . .:hourglass

We were much happier tonight!!! GO JAZZ!!!!!

Boozer was on the injured list for so long here, no one really remembers where he came from, just that he was always injured. Does Derick Fischer make up for him? He's a good guy.

Just thought I would pop in and say a quick Hello! I hope everyone had a nice Mother's Day and that everybody is healthy and happy. My baby boy turns 5 today and we spent the weekend celebrating. We took him to the Rainforest Cafe in Kansas City (since the RC at AK was out of the question ;)) and then to a family fun center place called Paradise Park. We then spent the night at my best friends house so our kids could play together. Everyone had a good time but we are pretty tired now. He got lots of Power Ranger, Ben 10 and Transformer toys for his birthday so he was in heaven. He spent all last night playing and I don't think I understood anything he was saying. :rotfl: It was all noises and mystery phrases that make no sense to me! ;) "Activate megazord power..", "I'm going Gray Matter", etc....

DD did great this weekend but she woke up this morning with a "gunky" and really swollen eyes. It doesn't look like pink eye but I have never seen swollen eyes like that before. I am wondering if it is really bad allergies. :sad2: DH is home with her today and she goes to the doctor in about an hour.

Becka! Great to hear from you again. I was just thinking about you a day or two ago.

 I hope she feels better soon. It's not fun to have problems with your eyes like that.

Happy birthday to your BIG BOY!!! :) It sounds like he had a great weekend no matter where you were. Sorry that Ally isn't feeling so well. Allergies are tearing us apart down here. I hope that her eyes clear up ASAP.
