12/09/06 Cruise Continued ~ Pirating Bananas DIS Geekorama Part 2 Part 2

I have this theory that all contractors are liars; not bad people but the truth is not in them. It's a thing that they are born with. One of my best friends is a contractor and he can never get a project done as he says.

The worst are the ones who leave you hanging and it sounds like this has happened to you. Sorry!

I want to ask my DISboard friends to say a prayer for my DW and I. Today we were told that our work is moving us but we do not find out where until Friday. It could be back to Washington DC, Tampa or Dallas. Each of those places have positive and negative things about them. It is possible that it could be some other place in the South but these are the most probable.

The sad thing right now is leaving Oklahoma after 6.5 years. We have made a lot of friends and it will be hard. I'm at camp and just called my DW to tell her and she was upset by the news. I'd appreciate the prayers. Thanks.

Of course we will! I am sure God has good things in mind for you, but I completely understand the sadness of leaving good friends. And giving up your "midway" spot between the two Disneys is very sad!

NO WAY !!!!!!!!

That would NOT be a good thing for us.
1 - We would never be able to go on another Disney Cruise since we would have to get 2 rooms.
2 - I would be institutionalized so the kids wouldn't have a stable home life (Though with me out of the picture, they could fit into that stateroom )
3 - I have now gotten rid of the last of the few baby things that I still had at the yard sale.

Nope! No way! Niet! Nine! Nada! Nowayin..... would that be a good thing for us. I know my limits.

Speaking of yard sale......I made $140 today!!! The rain held off & it ended up being hot & sunny after 10 am. Add that to the cruise fund!

Wow Lisa you and I both have the same reasons for only wanting 2 kids! We always say that we like to travel so much if we had 3 kids we would not have enough space in a regular cuise ship cabin!!!!

and speaking of having more kids....My DSis just told me a story last night about my DStepSis that has me floored.....
Her first child DD, has Adhd . She about 10yo.
They really didn't know until she got older though.
By then she had a Ds who they diagnosed with autism by the time he was two. (but by then she was pregnant with a third child.) We now know that autism seems to run on my Dstepsis's side of the family. (one of my Dstepbro's kids turned out autistic as well.)

The third son seems normal so far (i think he's about 6 now.)

Here come's the floored part....
Her husband (they were together 14 yrs) left her the end of last year for another man that he had been having a relationship with for the past year or so. NICE.
Then she met someone else and by christmas, he was living with her and the kids. In the meantime the middle child with autism was turned over to a group home because she couldn't handle him anymore. SAD.
My sis found out last week from my dad last week that Dstepsis is pregnant again, this time by the boyfriend, and that it's due in July. Hmm doing the math that means right after they got together.... OH BOY....

I don't have to watch soap operas anymore. My real life is far more interesting. Wish this was made up.....


But in conclusion.....

I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD IN ONLY 19 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reading these posts on the yard sales made me have a positive thought about our move ..... yard sale! We always sell some of the things we have "collected" in our stays just before we move. We've been in Oklahoma longer than other appointment. We'll have a lot of money from the yard sales for the cruise .... we might even be able to upgrade! or at least have some money to book that European Repo cruise in 2007

Looking for positives any place I can get 'em.

Lisa, Great yard sale! My last one netted $20.00 after I paid for the classified ad. Now I just give to the Kidney Fund.

First Child you have 2 man coverage
Second Child you have man to man defense
Third Child it is zone defense!

He has 3 kids and said that it gets crazy after 2!
