Kim, the winter thing is changing, lol. We only had snow about 4 times this winter and temps under 0 for maybe 20 days overall. And this summer, we have had three week over 30. And the humidity, it sucks, this week we are over 35 all week. All temps are celsius.
Pj

That seems awfully hot for Toronto. Is it just you all, or is New England experiencing the same weather?

Kim

Well, I wont be doing any more college. These kids have sucked all of my working brain cells out. I swear that is the primary reason I say that we can't have any more kids. I would need a brain transplant or there would be nothing for the child to take from me. Classic mommy mush brain. ;)

Lisa, Good news! I read that having children actually makes you smarter. You can multi task anything, solve problems quickly and handle stressfull situations. It was an honest to gosh study. You are actually getting smarter every day.... You just don't know it cause you don't have time to think about it.

Whew - glad you said celsius! I thought you had a temp of 35 with humidity...I was :confused3 ! I thought maybe you were feeling a little :crazy2: .

I remember going up to Maine to visit our GPs in the summer. We were hanging out in Tshirts & jeans loving the great weather & everyone who lived up there was hanging out in front of the window units complaining about the heat. I was 8 or so & didn't get what their problem was after growing up in VA on the coast. LOL!

We seem to be getting it really bad this year. We kind of get whatever Chicago and Detroit get, there is a weather stream that heads up our way. So when Chicago is hot and the winds are moving we get it a couple of days later. Last year was like this too, very hot and humid all summer. This years is not as bad as last year.

Are you serious?

Totally! She and her husband raise organic cattle. We told her she should write a book. Her stories are amazing! Her first house up there had no running water or electricity.... I can only imagine. She is a strong strong woman. I am a BIG woos (sp?) about running water.

Had a great time today in Canada. :thumbsup2 Went to Zellers and they were just starting to put out there school stuff. I saw the mator backpack, but iit is like kindergarten (?) size to small for spencer. I got DH a pair of wild knee length shorts they have the dark and light blue and then white hibiskas flowers on them oh and corona bottles :rotfl: I have them on right now. :rotfl2: I bought myself a keycain that is round and has a hockey puck in the middle that spins. It is so cool.

I also bought 25 boxes of colored pencials (12 in a box)today. To take to the school when we go.

I can not beleave that I didn't buy myself one but I got for my friend a mickey bath rug for $3.00 at a store up there. I was looking through all of them to get one were the rubber backing was good and my mom asked what are you cleaning them out? :rotfl2: They had like 10. I should have bought me 2. One for the bathroom and one for the wall. I need to go email the boys and get to bed.
:happytv:
I am going to spokane on monday and the boys and I are doing to the disney store for the $@ pins and then were going to stay the night at the hotel. :happytv: We can watch t.v. all night.

BLESS YOU!!! I love this! I will have to write it down...maybe add it to my signature. Having children makes you smarter every day...you just don't know it because you don't have time to think about it! :)

Lisa, I would love Maine temps! But as they are at least 200 miles north of us, no luck!

I loved chatting tonight. It is late and I must get to bed. G'night! Sweet Dreams (as my DS would say.)

Pj forgive my geography for a sec, but is Toronto directly East of NYC? or more SE?

Kim

Mum, I am lost. You bought shorts for DH and you are wearing them. You need to at least let him see them before you steal them, lol.

Pj

All my American friends, look for NYC go West to Buffalo, the head straight North across Lake Ontario, You will find Toronto, lol.

I hope that it is West of NYC sinc NY is on the east coast. :confused3 Either that or I need to be asleep.

Now when we went to Detroit or actually a town 8 hours north of there...can't think of the name right now where my other GPs lived. We would go swimming in Lake Superior. If you are too hot...go swimming there....that will cool you off. :)

Bracelet Sizes

Ok, I had no idea there were so many sizes to these things. The company told me most people including children prefer to wear the medium size. There are some people with larger bones especially bigger men who like the large size. My DD always wears them on her ankle, so a medium is plenty big for that anyway. What I did was order 40 of the very small childrens size for the little kids who may not want to wear them on thier ankle or who might lose them very easily if they are too big. I also got 60 of the large size as well. I have 200 of the medium size that apparently everyone wears. What I need to know from each family is:

1. How many of each size do you need?
2. Do you want them before we cruise?

If you want them before hand, and by this, I mean before the 10:30 DIS Meet, (except for those meeting on Friday...). If you do, I will post the cost of shipping by number of bracelets(as soon as I get them) and give Lisa my address to post on the website and you can send me a self addressed stamped envelope and I will send as I get them.

I have planned for each non adult to have at least 2, but not all in the little kids size. If our group stays the same size, everyone can have 2.

Kim

I didn't realize they came in different sizes either. DS10 has very tiny wrists. I'm just wondering if maybe he would do better with the little one? Do you know approximately how big those are? Maybe I can measure his wrist and see.

Anyway, I'd like them before the cruise so I will be happy to send a SASE. I'd need bracelets for DD, DS, DH and myself. So that would be 6 bracelets? Maybe one little one and 5 mediums? Unless they are like tiny for babies wrists then all medium will be fine. I always get confused when it comes to figuring out what sizes I'd need.

You are right! Good Grief, I meant Directly North of NYC or more NW. I got stuck on east coast. Stupid, stupid. To many cold tablets...
