I talked with Aaron's daddy today. It snowed in Phoenix. :confused3 Did not stick, of course, but flakes were falling. That was the cold front that came thru here this past week. We are warming up again though. mid 30s at night and mid 40s in the daytime this week. :cool1:

I think 5 days is really enough for me. Plus, a shorter period of time means we could get a much cheaper cabin. Sept. is also a nce cheap time to visit WDW and tack on a few days there.

I guess hurricane season is a negative and the fact that the kids will not be 8 until Jan. 2009. I would rather see them move up a level at the club and be able to sign themselves out.

But I think I will ask for a quote and see what I get back.

Does anyone know what kind of activities they drop on a 5 day cruise vs. the 7 day? I know they don't have them too often.

Dody - we will have to make Rainforest dates. I would want to make sure I got there every day this time unlike our Dec. trip.

I feel the same way about 5 days. At first we were considering a repo but then came to our senses when we remembered how cranky we were and how ready we were to go home by day 6. So this 5 day cruise sounds perfect. I'm a little nervous about hurricane season though. :scared: If the rumor about the Wonder 4 day cruise doing double dips during the summer is true we may look into that as well.

A Rainforest date sounds like fun. ::yes::

So Kim - why May?? August will be the fun kids! Or is that the cool one?;)

Dody,

You know, I ordered off the light side or vegetarian menu almost every night, either for me or DD. I actually thought the flavoring on those choices were better than the regular meals. The vegetarian lasagna was fab! Because DH and DD don't care about food, I was just happy to sit down for a meal! Odd though, that those lite side were better seasoned.

I think next cruise I will stick to the light menu. I tried the steak a few nights but keep thinking the other foods sounded good so always tried them. I probably should've ordered from both menus so I'd have a light backup when I didn't like the other stuff.

Doty, if you do the 5 day talk with your server and tell them what you did and did not like. How you usually eat, etc. They will make great recommendations I am sure and if you don't like something, just ask for something else. That is the thing I really like about cruising. I try it and if I don't like it I don't have to pay for another choice.

Oh, thinking about the food now.....mmmmmm. Love that tomato pizza at Palo. Herb encrusted sea bass....mmmmmmm. I don't think they had that this cruise????:confused3

Pros and Cons to the upcoming Repos

May :
CONS
Doesnt work for kids
CC at the start of the trip ( I like having CC at the end for the finale )
One less port
Weather may not be all that great , cold rainy
We couldnt do DL at all plus it would be Memorial Day weekend and DL will be jammed packed..

Pros

Cruising with some of the most fantastic people we have ever met
Seeing the Black Pearl before the August Repo

August :

CONS
Not cruising with some of our friends that were on the DD cruise

Pros

Cruising with some of our DD cruise group and New cruise friends
extra Port
Not having to worry about the kids school
DL before the cruise
and CC at the end of the cruise which is where it should be ...

I am sure I could add more , but either way I already miss you guys

Dennis and Angie, you two are too cute! We're gonna miss not having you with us.:sad1:

Still 8 full days to get some minds changed...

Miss you too Cap'n. Hmmmm. Maybe we should do both.
I don't mind the one less port. I like sea days okay. And we have done DL in May for the past 6 years, usually the week of Memorial Day. Memorial Day wasn't too bad most of the time. I heard it was bad last year. Doing DL before would be better, but August at Disneyland can be pretty miserable anyway. Especially if it's very hot. You being used to Vegas would make it easier. LOL. You might need a sweater. You're right about rain in May. Possible early storms. We'll just have to stay on the ship all summer. You could take over as Captain Jack, instead of that phony Captain Jack. I could hand pump the bilge.

Sorry about not getting my pics done yet. I tried to upload them to snapfish, but for some reason my Windows OS kept giving me an error message about access. ????? I don't have high speed either, so uploads would take forever. Maybe I can put them on a CD and send them to someone who can post them for me, or I can try to fine someone with DSL that will loan me their computer. Argh! I am working on it. Patience please.

All of the pictures you all posted were great. AND PJ, I like the book idea too. That's kinda what I was thinking of doing way back when.

Pics will be COMING SOON.

Didn't help that I was sick twice right after getting home. I missed a few days work the week before last. N/V a lot of bile. yuck. I was ready to go to ER, but toughed it out one more day and got better. If I would have been on a god drunk it may have explained it, but I wasn't. (DANG).

Working 10 and 11 hour days right now, so will work on stuff on weekends.

Later, Dennis

Aw, thanks. We liked you guys a lot too. Everyone is soooo nice. Well, if I win the big Powerball, we'll do both. LOL. Maybe I could just start working 7 days. Yeah, that's the ticket. One thing we could do is just meet everyone for Disnayland in August. That would work.

Elaine, i don't think they have that option until 10yo...... Even then you may want to decide otherwise.
