A couple nights I ordered from the light menu- the steak, it was okay but not how I typically like my steak. The nights I tried to be adventurous I tried beef tenderloin and it tasted like a TV dinner, IMO. All the desserts were really bland and the sauces and the entrees always seemed too heavy to me. I felt sick every night after dinner because of it.

I guess I'm just really picky about the food but DH and I were so excited to get home and have a home cooked meal. Even the burger king we ate at the airport before our flight home tasted gourmet compared to what we ate onboard.

Basically you are getting banquet level food. Most of it was cold. Nothiing ethnic or spiced. No timing for dishes and condiments.

The only thing I had all week with any kick was a vegetable masala and that was on the buffet at Topsiders.

I would eat at Palo every nite because of the level of service.

Good morning all. I am waiting for DS to get dressed so that we can leave for the Church. He is getting his first reconciliation this morning. DH has to work today but he waited until I woke up & took DD with him. She will be pampered by everyone else there at the office. I hope this big project or problem is finished soon! Now I wont have to try to keep her busy for an hour or so.

Best wishes for William today. I teach second grade CCD and we do our Sacrament of Reconciliation on the evening of Feb 5. We're still racing to get them prepared!!

It is down right COLD here. I know, some of you have it worse, but it doesn't make it any better here. It is right around 30 right now. (They need this little guy right on the side. It IS winter. ) It was a bit colder a few days last week, but now the wind is here and it won't go away. Much, much worse.

It wouldn't be so bad if I could just stay holed up in the house, but Amanda has a basketball game at 10 and then we have to bring in 86 cases of GS cookies into the house.

It's GS cookie sale time for us, too. I can't even imagine being cookie mom! where do you put them?! Hannah loves to work the cookie booths!

Well, William survived. He didn't get to talk to the priest he wanted and he is confused because they didn't go by the script that the kids were given but I assured him that is OK. DD & DH are still at the office...hopefully she isn't stopping him from working.
