Tell Savannah that Kaitlyn says the puppy is cute. :) Girl or boy and what is its name?

Lisa,

Did Disney announce the dates yet? Did I miss it? Or are we still speculating?

John1

They don't make the official announcement until 1/17 but the paper trail of contracts makes it 99% certain. As far as us booking it...that is just speculation right now. Does this sound possible for you guys?

05/10-05/24 is the speculated date of the May repo...

UGH! :( That doesn't sound good. We use to get out the first week in May but now it is June 10 or so. Hmmm....The end of 2nd & 3rd grade for the kids. I will have to find out when EOGs are given. That wouldn't allow us any time to visit DL...which is rediculous IMO if we are in CA for the first time ever. I am going to have to ask a few teachers which they would recommend.

Oh come on! What happened to 11/29/08! :sad1:

It's still there for now. We haven't made a decision on the repo yet...not enough info to decide yet. I would rather cruise with friends BUT going thru the PC is a once in a lifetime experience.

Elaine,

I am kind of suprise myself. I thought it would take a few years to find what she really liked. We did ballet, Dance, Gymnastics, Swimming, Tumbling, Soccer and now she does not want to do anything else. I don't think it is typical and I do think it is a good idea to expose your kids to lots of things so they can try everything once...
I thought Tae Kwon Do was IT. Two years of it - twice a week. She loved it, fantastic discipline and the owners were superb. Unfortunately they closed their business and we moved to karate and a different dojo/style. Vibe wasn't the same at all. It became all about bringing a friend to sign up to get a star. She has been swimming since she was an infant and that went on along with Tawe Kwon Do until last year when the Y instructors starting stinking. With the Y costing the same as a private gym - no thank you to having my kid play games and ride on a noodle all class. So now she is only interested in it during summer camp. Which is a drag because she is excellent at it. Prior to that it was The Little Gym. Never any interest in dance. We also did Little Knights (fencing/roll playing for kids).I wish we had more of a soccer focus here but we do not. Baseball, football, ice hockey

Absolutely sniff, sniff, I understand:guilty: ;)
No, I teasing, I agree going through the PC would be an awesome experience! I hope the dates work out for you! Honest!

Hey there everybody! Today has been nice and balmy. Can't believe that I am describing a day in mid January as balmy. OY! Don't envy us for long though because it ends later today. The cold front & rain move in overnight and it will be 30-50 the rest of the week.

We had snow here in Vegas on friday! And since then the temps have dropped into the 20s at night! I think things are backwards!

Honestly, my gut feeling is not to get too excited about it because it probably wont happen. IF it does, it will probably be August. I guess that I will book that one first, then May so that we can decide which would work best. :confused3 From speculation the 4 of us should be 4-6K and that isn't too bad for 2 weeks on the ship. Don't count us out for 11/29/08 though...I'm not.

If those become the May dates, I would say NO to May. I don't see how Sophia could miss that much school at the end of the school year. We usually get out the first week of June, so I don't think that will work at all.

In August/September, it may be a possibility. I am less concerned about missing the first few days of school, but that would still be a problem. I agree with you Lisa that it is a "once in a lifetime" opportunity.

Ughhhhhh! Just thought of something else . . . our Union contract expires September '08. Scratch August '08. I guess we could only consider the May repo. A lot depends on the school schedule. It may end up being January '09 for us, and no Repo.

John

If you are in California for the repo in May and want to do a mini meet at DL, I will get my butt down there :)

As for the repo, DH doesn't want to do 2 weeks on the ship... even though I'd love to go through the canal.

We are looking at doing the Mexican riviera cruise the week of August 17th... (which is our 12th anniversary!). DS goes off track beginning that week too so he won't miss any school (school starts the end of July).

There's so much more at Chocolate World than they used to have! We spent a bit of time there on our trip this summer after skipping it for years. You really can spend quite a bit of time there. The Cows/Milk Marketing people appear to have taken over the "chocolate factory tour" ride!

I did not even realize they redid chocolate world until today. That was a nice surprise. Jake like that little factory worker thing. We had lunch at the Kit Kat Cafe and we had one create your own sundae to share. Jake "created" the sundae and Jason and I shared ;)

One thing that we will be considering is withdrawing the kids from school & homeschooling for the time we will be gone. They may be "going to school" after their friends are finished but we will get the correct number of days in. There are all sorts of options out there.

keep me posted about 1/09...if we do the repo that will be it for 08 but the normal FL rates for Jan- Feb....we'd go.

Diddo! No DotD, no Cove Cafe, I don't even think I walked by it, lol.

Pj

We went to Cove Cafe ..... with our friends Dennis & Angie. It is a really nice and quiet place to sip a good cup of coffee. :coffee:

I am really getting excited about this announcement. My TA was able to secure us a repo for the Med...that we ended up not doing, so I hope he is in office and can get this one for us.
