First of all . I hope you feel better very soon!

Secondly the actual sinus infection is not contagious. Now whatever cold, etc.. caused the sinus infection could be but if you started with it weeks ago you may be OK. You would think they would have caught it by now.

We sure have been a sick bunch lately. Let's hope we get it all out of our systems now so we are better in a little over 2 weeks!

I am glad to hear that it isn't contagious. I really wasn't sure. I figured they would have it by now. I just really want everyone healthy for this trip!

I am wondering how the crowds will be.....not that we were really planning on much but if there is not a room to be had anywhere on WDW property...might make the parks a tad busier.

I was wondering the same thing. Although for the party on Thursday night there were only so many tickets given out...so we should be fine there!

My DS is chasing my DD around between the kitchen, dining room, and living room with one of those WDW light chasers. It is the sorcerer Mickey one. She is laughing and they are both having a great time!! Now I need luck calming them down for bed!

Its wild this thread has me thinking of things I haven't thought about in Years! My brother used to say he had a school assignment to watch Bewitched. Anything that was at that time he'd try to come up with some excuse to watch. Its funny though to think of the Flinstones as Primetime. But then everyone knew it was a cartoon version of the Honeymooners.

LOL! I remember when the Brady Bunch was prime time. I use to sneak past my sister's door to watch it once a week at 7:30.

Included in my recipe book are pumpkin and chocolate whoopie pie recipes!

My Memmy (Grandmother) would make hundreds of whoopie pies (along with pie and candy) to sell at market. Here is her recipe (I have it typed up already and it is in my cookbook.

Chocolate Whoopy Pies
2 cups sugar
½ cup Crisco
2 eggs
1 cup sour milk (milk with 1 tsp. Vinegar added)
1 cup boiling water
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 tsps. Baking soda
2 tsps. Baking powder
12 tsp. Salt
½ cup cocoa powder
4 cups flour

Cream together sugar, salt, vanilla, and Crisco. Then add eggs
and beat until creamy. Next add cocoa and sour milk that has
the baking soda and baking powder added to it. Then alternating ingredients add the hot water and flour.

Bake at 450* for 5 min.

White Fluffy Icing (Whoopy Pie Cream Filling)

1 cup milk
3 Tbls cornstarch
Cook the milk and cornstarch, until thick, stirring constantly, then cool.
1 cup sugar
½ cup Vegetable Shortening
½ cup butter
2 tsps. Vanilla
Beat sugar, shortening, butter, and vanilla together at high speed until creamy. Then add cooled milk mixture and beat at high speed until fluffy. (about 5 mins.)

hey do any of you guys call Whoopie Pies "Gobs" its another Pennslvania Dutch/New England thing. I know I know you guys make them with beets. ...or no crust.

Not PA Dutch from what I know, may be New England...not the same thing.

I put Becka's "list" into a document and it was very helpful (thanks becka). I have only added an extension cord to it and removed the diaper and sippy cups and AAA things thus far. Most others are pretty relevant.

If you all can just add to my list I'll just use that one vs. creating one myself. That is the only thing I stress about - packing. Other than than I just purchase things on board and last I checked underware isn't sold on board.

I messed it up the first time.

I really hope that is not true because I did not want to miss AP and we have Palo dinner scheduled for Monday. I hope to read in a few posts that this was a mistake....

DS's clothes are on white hangers. DD's are on silver hangers. DH & my clothes are on assorted colors but they don't have the extra connection on the ends that the kid's hangers do. DS's shirts are hung up by color after being grouped by sleeve length and if they are tshirts or button down or fleece.
