Everyone is still doing the lime?

I'm sure I'll read about everyone's plans inthe next 30 or so pages....

but we are wearing lime during the day and changing for dinner. Just too hot/sweaty and stuff to stay in the same outfit all day/evening long.

Hmmmm. Should I ignore my children this morning, and hope they get dressed, eat breakfast, pack lunches and get the bus on their own... while I post like a crazy person and try for another ???

I ok, finally caught up. The conference was ok, but a lot of talking and sitting.

On the way home, i thought I would just check out the DS and see what was on sale. Randy and Jane, the managers were on stage. We got to talking, Jane asked if I had been on any cruises lately? I said leaving in two weeks, lol.
They both asked if they could come, I said two empty beds in my room.
Randy said I should work with them.
I replied, not going there Randy. I have applied 6 times for part-time, full-time and seasonal, nothing!
Randy, handed me a application, said fill it out and we will do your paperwork tonight, for a per diem position, later evenings setting out stock and doing mark-down and such. The deal is, if they call you and you can't work three times, you are off the list, thats cool.

Then we got to talking as he signed me up as an employee, (woohoo) he asked my salary at the Computer store and if I would be interested in being a lead, that he would talk to HR and see if they could meet my current salary. I said I might be interested, but let's see how it goes first. We sat backstage and talked for about an hour. I go in for training on Thursday.

Just a friendly PSA.....

Bigger isn't necessarily better. Now that the ailrines have been cracking down on the 50 Lb rule... When i use my largest suitcase, It's really tough keeping the weight under 50. I mean it fits so much....

This is why i think we might need 8 suitcases instead of 6....

Yup - exactly what I was going to post earlier!!! Also - one big suitcase means it it gets lost...more gets lost...2 or 3 smaller might mean more chances of getting lost, but Everything isn't lost.

we go for the smaller ones and bunch them together.

My tummy is not feeling well at all today.....

Adding this to the pain from my wrist issues i've been having and i think i'm dying...(or maybe just falling apart)

It hurts just to do the laundry but i can't let that stop. I need to get through it all before the cruise.

Maybe it's just stress.... (Maybe i shouldn't have stopped taking my happy pills)

kristina - hope you feel better soon. But hopefully we are all getting it out of our system for the cruise! take care.

We got a couple at Kohl's on sale for $7.50 each! We thought we really had scored!!

Target sells them too. Try target online. Not fancy ones like that - just solid colors. I also bought them as the kids snack boxes for school. The baby bottle containers come in great gift colors.

I'll look and see if they still have them.

I am on antibiotics too. I have been sick since the end of August. I'm fed up. The kids are getting colds but I hope we work our way through before cruise time.

We are doing the same thing! We are wearing lime for boarding and the afternoon. We are changing into our matching red hawaiian Mickey stuff for dinner.

I dread not using my big big suit case. I hate the thought of dragging a bunch of smaller cases with the kids, car seats, strollers, and all of that other fun stuff.

I am going to try and get into my doctor today. My left ear and sinus have been blocked up for a week. It is making me crazy! I just hope he can do something about it!

PJ - make sure you look in to those Children's Place benefits before you switch full time. I remember on Allears several people posting who were employees that the Disney Store benefits had really decreased and it got even worse when CP took over.

My sister had one of those retail jobs where they call you in. As soon as she drove to the beach and was 100 miles away they would call her and be mad if she couldn't make it. Then they stopped scheduling/giving her hours. Basically they expect you to stay by a phone and stop what you are dong and go in.

It will be fun getting to sneak preview the merchadise though.

I read that the group trying to make their online resies today couldn't do palo at all because of a major glitch. Thank goodness that didn't happen to us.

How frustrating! That must have been horrible for those who stayed up half the night!

You have a place that will BUY your stuff! I feel like I live on the moon with some of the stuff you guys have available.

they are a lot of kids consignment shops around - even we have one about 1/2 hour away. They really don't give you anything compared to the original value.

All the stuff disappeared that we put at the end of our driveway. Weekends seem to be better for unloading things. YIPPEE!!!

There are some nasty people out there who will do anything when it comes to pin trading. DH has had a few run-ins with some of them and he usually can figure the good guys from the bad pretty quickly and tries not to deal with them.

Nathan loved pin trading on our last cruise and he has his lanyard ready to go. We just let him trade with CM's but I wouldn't have a problem with him trading with the others kids/adults in our group.

My Ds will be trading for the first time on this trip. I will allow him to trade with cast members. On my trip 2 August's ago I had a baby minnie pin that said "new mom." I bought if from Disney Direct (I think) any way, I was so proud of that pin because I was pregnant with Eliza. Anyway, a tourist came up to me and started to insist that I had to trade that away to him. I told him that one wasn't up for trade. He told me I didn't have a choice!!!! He was getting very pushy and ignorant. When my Dh realized what was going on... it was something along the lines of get away from my wife...how dare you try to threaten my pregnant wife...and on like that. The guy finally walked away...but what a nut!!! I wasn't "scared" of the guy...but I was glad my DH was there! Anyway, now I am very leary about trading with other guest. I prefer to stick to cast members!

This year we are having a "blue" christmas. Our windows, doors, and entire house is trimmed in blue lights. The tree trunks are also blue. The walk way and actal trees will be white. It looks great!!!! We have already had a red and a green christmas. We buy our lights at closeout after Christmas the year before. I always wanted blue but they were always sold out...but last year I struck "gold" at target....I got about 25 strings!!! My Dh goes ALL OUT!!!!

You should call the airline or check the government site. They changed the rule to allow some meds on the plane soon after the threat started.

Actually liquids are allowed on the plane now as long as they fit in a small ziplock plastic bag. They will provide the bag at the airport. As long as the medicine fits in the bag you can take it on the plane.

I do remember helping decorate at the neighbors and HATING putting on their tinsel. It had to be one strand at a time. We always loved to blow it on the tree.

Funny thing though, I never put tinsel on the tree now. [/SIZE]

No tinsel at our house either. You shouldn't use it on a live tree because it renders the tree un-recyclable.... (ie can't shred it) Probably because it would a) gum up the machine and b) harm wildlife that may eat it.
