What deck are u on. Don't you have a 13 year old too! Just making sure. My daughter is very happy to know there will be people her age because in Janurary there were only 2 13's and the rest were 15+

Wow...My DSIL's husband was in Kuwait, Dover and then Germany for a year and was just called up for Afganistan, leaving in January.

hey Andy - another DIS'er is a helicopter pilot too. I've never flown in a chopper.

We are grabbing a tailwind and flying down to Norfolk for the rest of the weekend

Have her pick one thing from a store you are planning to go to and its her job to go find it, and then get in line while you gather the rest...oh, yeah..put a price limit on that ONE item...may get out of hand...or have her gather 1/2 your list (things that wont be hers...) and you gather the rest...first person to finish the "scavenger hunt" gets in line...

Money is always a good bribe...goes a looonnnnnggg way!

What should I do to get my 13 year old to go shopping with me tomorrow. She doesn't want to go shopping becasue last time we went she got lost and the lights at kohl's went out and she didn't know where I was. This was when she was 9 and hasn't gone since.

that's new on me too - last time I made a whole bird I just reached in and got all the offending parts out with one swoop from the same end.

Giona declared that he didn't want the turkey to die so he wasn't going to eat any - HUH?

I was feeling about the same way - because sticking my hand into a cold turkey and wrenching a frozen neck piece out at 5:45 in the morning is not exactly a fun way to start the day.

DD sat on the counter and watched me fix it up this morning. She asked me where the head was when I pulled out the neck. She then asked me where the feet were when I told her those big bones on the sides were the legs.
