I went through the DCL site looking for available rooms. Much easier this time since only 3 CATs had more than 8 rooms...

When I first checked there were 256 rooms showing availability.
Now there are 101

Cat = NOW / THEN

04 = 30 / 40
05 = 39 / 65
06 = 05 / 20
07 = 09 / 09
08 = 06 / 06
09 = 04 / 26
10 = 02 / 11
11 = 06 / 79
---------------
101 / 256
Thanks for the update!!!!

#1 Brandi is the new iPod poster child. Wait until you see a video iPod Brandi. Put it on your Christmas list now.
#2 Don't let's talk about Lisa? Is this our theme song now when she keeps us in line and whips us into shape for the cruise?

I do love this Ipod. Honestly...since I have Dial-up...it would take hours and hours to download one movie or show. I will just stick with what I have for now! I will have to wait until broadband comes to my area to upgrade...KWIM?

As for #2 - that was just the song that was on deck at the time!

Now I am listening to Life is a Highway!

My theory is that they book a large number of GTYs and they have assigned them now. (Besides the ones who have booked recently)
I think that is a very good theory. I am sure it is rather accurate!

I've been trying to figure out just what i am going to do in regards to tipping the stewards with our two rooms. I can't very well not leave anything for the "empty" room.

On the other hand, if DH decides to leave me when we get to the sea of lime green this won't be an issue. :rolleyes1

I was wondering how people tip when they book an empty room. :confused3 Of course you could always start a thread on the main board asking others what they've done. :stir: popcorn::

Wait until he gets older and decides it is something to do in the privacy of his own room? :confused3 I would help you if I could but I think one of the reason my pant-less son likes to wear as few clothes as possible is because he has easier access! :rolleyes: I just don't get the fascination with that particular body part at such an early age.... :sad2:

Fascination at that age?
:sad2:

Some little boys grow up into big boys and still have their fascination!!!

ok I priced the cruise for next year that we were thinking of
10/27 and 12/8 are the same price. 12/15 was quite a bit more. I was thinking of asking my boss to be off during close for Dec 07 but looking at the calander, I would be off the entire close...I have no back up and no one would be able to do my cash entries, thus big problems. I could almost have them finished by Friday night but that would mean staying here late that night and then probably rushing to the port the next morning. As much I as I really want to go on the 12/1 I just don't think I can make it work.
I don't know, I asked John and he's just "whatever you want babe".
I have even thought of maybe doing a 3 or 4 nighter earlier in the year and then a 7 nighter in 2008. I don't know...I would like to see the booking onboard prices though. Sometimes they are not as good as group rates.

V, since I won't be able to change to 12/1 :sad2: , I think you should book the 10/27! We have almost 15 families over there now, they are a little quiet but that will change.

Last funny thought - Despite having joined in 2002 until I started interacting with you guys I was way under 1000, probably under 500 postings. Another acknowledgement on how you guys have corrupted me. :rolleyes:
I joined in Aug 2003 and I was at about 20 or 30 posts when I joined this thead!!! SCARY!!!!!! (although I was working then....and I have been home now.)

Becka,

I am sorry you are having such a bad time with the computer. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and just remember to breathe. Think HAPPY thoughts and try to relax. That way things will be a little easier to fix. I learned this from Disney. You CAN Fly!

Hugs, DrHug

I think name tags would be helpful...I have been pretty lazy on learning names. I know the cruisers from last year...and a few others but other than that I may need to carry around Lisa's manifest and call out usernames.
We had our names machine embroidered on the sleeve of our lime shirts. We are geeks...I know!!!

Happy Birthday William!!!

My oldest turns 9 tomorrow and mine is soon! :rolleyes1 November is such a great month, right V?!!!

My mom has been watching the kids for me today. I am scrapbooking 10 cookbooks and 5 calanders for chirstmas gifts. My grandmother passed away 2 weeks after my DS was born. I am taking 22 of her best recipes and making them...along with some of her pics. It is turning out really well...but it is hard for me (emotionally.) She was the first person to pass that was someone really important to me. She and my Grandfather were the farmers and they gave land to each of their kids..so we all lived on the farm. She had 4 children and 6 grandchildren. I am making a cookbook for each. I will give them out at our family Christmas party. We are having it really early this year because my immediate family will be in Disney. I must have them complete by the first Sunday in December. The only people who know about the cookbook other than my DH are one of my aunts (she had access to the recipes) and my Grandfather (I didn't want to surprise him and upset him at the party.) My grandmother was a fabulous cook. In the winter she would bake about 500 pies plus cookies and cakes each week for market (they were produce farmers and this was their income when there were no crops.) In the spring she would continue with the pies and add candy for easter. I included a few pie and candy recipes. I also included the recipes for the dishes she would make for holidays. Anyway, I need to get back to that.
